Do you suffer from dehydrated skin?

Hi beauties,

Do you suffer from dehydrated skin? If so, do you know what is causing it?

Are you spending too much time in an air-conditioned environment?

Are you not applying enough facial moisturiser?

Are you not drinking enough water?

Are you exercising excessively?

Or maybe you’re suffering from an illness?

And do you have any hydrating serums or moisturisers you’d recommend for combating this skin issue? If so, we’d love to know what they are, so please share.

Thanks,

bh X

I have very dehydrated skin on certain parts of my face, but break out with acne in other areas. This is a result of my severe end-stage kidney failure. I have to use more than 40 or 50 skin care products almost every day in an endlessly repeating cycle of using cleansers, a retinue of serums, moisturizers and creams one after another, 3 or 4 times a day, with microdermabrasions alternating with peels on every other day and cleansing alternating with hydrating masks on the days in between.

My skin can get painfully dry on my legs and hands in the winter. They crack and bleed really quickly. I found that some dry oils (Fresh in the US, I’ll have to start looking around here) are really great for my legs. I got one bottle of their dry rice oil and it’s lasted for over two years. It’s hard to get used to using it, because if you use too much, it can make you feel really greasy and gross.

I like to use masks for my skin pretty regularly. I find that I can usually target the problem areas of my face. One of my friends is a beautician and she suggested trying oils to moisturize. My face doesn’t hate it.

about 2 months ago by beauty therapist advised me that besides the fact that i had rosacea without my knowing she also said my skin is severely de-hydrated. the causes she advised me were either or all due to air conditioning, heater, hot showers, over exfoliating, sun exposure, not using spf cream and a lack of water.before i left the clinic she applied a deep nourishing moisturiser, and advised me to start using the medik 8 range for redness cleanser, a serum to hydrate my skin and a green based moisturiser. i have been on the products for more than 2 months and the benefits to the texture in my skin, the redness has calmed down. so i would suggest the meki 8 range especially the serums. amazing products for much needed dry/de hydrated skin.

I had an extreme sensitive skin and i would highly recommend using sukin produts like their Facial Treatment Oil & Moisture Restoring Night cream. I use to have flaky skin everyday after using this oil and serum, it has helped my situation.

I have extremely dry sensitive skin on my face and body due to auto immune health issues.

I take Carla Oates Beauty Glow Powder which is fantastic and Vitamin D capsules.

Then Alpha Liquid Gold and the Day and Night serums plus 30+ Moisturiser add Carla Oates Dream Serum. I use Avon ANEW Clinical eye with these products and Thalgo Sensitive Skin Toner.
I also have been pleased with Snoxin, Hydraluron and Eyesilix.
Masks are Alpha H Liquid Gold and Hydraluron, Alpha Keri Bath Oil and Moisturiser.

Drink lots of water and tea. Smile.

Hello Everyone i’m new here…..plz suggest me

I have got black spots (like the spots which is left after an acne is gone) at the back of my arms. I apply concealer to hide them but i stay conscious abt my arms when I wear sleeveless or corsets in case if i sweat n the concealer would stain on my top.

I have insanely dry and sensitive skin – even something simple like a mild weather change or not moisturizing every single day and night causes dry patches and makes it feel and look really gross and coarse 🙁
The only product that I find offers a bit more of a long term fix is Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion – if I use it in the morning my skin looks pretty decent for most of the day, a lot more healthy and dewy. And then at night time I use Dr Lewinns Advanced Night Cream, that’s also probably the only product that I find really works for my skin.
If my skin is going through a REALLY dry phase and starts getting too patchy I sometimes use a little bit of coconut oil.

I thought my skin was fine until I saw a beauty therapist and she said it was really dry, now I have a day and night moisturiser that I have added to my regime and my skin looks so much healthier.

    Cucumber mask

Yes the world famous cucumber mask, we can’t have a dry skin treatment list without this one. The cucumber contains a lot of water as you probably know and is therefore used to moisturize the skin. You can either put slices on the dry skin or grate the cucumber and apply this to the skin. Leave it for 30 minutes
