Dark Circles under eyes

I have been using Nivea Visage – Aqua Sensation Anti-shadow eye cream for about a month now and I haven’t noticed any difference in the dark circles under my eyes. Are there any good eye creams or home remedies to reduce the dark circles?

    Home Remedies For Dark Circles

    Almond Oil
Almond oil is a great natural ingredient that is very beneficial for the delicate skin around your eyes. Regular usage of almond oil will help fade your under eye circles. In addition to almond oil, you can use vitamin E oil to eliminate dark circles under the eyes.

    Cucumber
Cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent properties that help fix those raccoon eyes naturally. Plus, they have a soothing and refreshing effect.

    Raw Potato
There are natural bleaching agents present in potato that can help lighten dark circles and get rid of puffiness around the eyes.

    Rose Water
Rose water has incredible ingredient for skin care. It rejuvenates the skin and has a soothing effect on tired eyes. Due to its mild astringent properties, it also works as a good skin toner.

    Tomato
Tomatoes have bleaching properties that can lighten skin to a great extent.

    Lemon Juice
The vitamin C present in lemon juice can also help remove dark circles under the eyes, thanks to its skin-lightening properties.

I heard that putting cucumber on your eyes every night is a good idea.
There’s lots of creams out there that are over-the counter and they should work; and maybe its stress too that’s causing your dark circles.

I really like dermalmd under eye treatment serum. I don’t have dark circles under my eyes, just puffiness. I’ve tried a lot of eye products and dermalmd under eye treatment serum works best for me.

I also agree with Spunkz, that putting cream in the fridge could reduce puffiness. maybe we could put Aloe Vera in the freezer and make Aloe ice cubes! Imagine how many things we could freeze and put on our face…

I use rosehip oil to brighten under my eyes, seems to work 🙂

I used to use so much concealer haha, but when I started looking into health and got a blood test it turns out I was anaemic. When I started eating healthy and fixing my iron levels they have almost gone away. I know this isn’t product related but I hope that helps 🙂 x

acain90 it’s common and i don’t think its too self absorbed. a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do.

i don’t have dark circles under the eyes but i injured the delicate skin under my eyes by using my ultrasonic machine a lil too zealously.

Did notice a little blue/green under the eyes. It’s my thin pale see through skin.
The blue/green only started to go away after i started using my skinactives range of products. Not sure if it is the collagen or antioxidant or uv repair that did the trick.

The problem I have is I get this sunken effect about a cm and a half from my under eye line. Its something to do with a decrease in collagen and then the way light plays off the area. Because its under the eye it creates a shadowing effect that increases the dark and sunken look.

It’s awful, it makes me so self conscious. I’m told it’s not as bad as I think it is. I think I focus on it too much but depending on the lighting wherever I happen to be sometimes I look like I haven’t slept for days – in my opinion.

It’s really affected my self confidence -whenever I’m out I just really worry about how bad It looks, like people will assume I’m a drug addict or something because of the intense effect of under eye darkness. I know it’s silly and incredibly self absorbed but it still gets to me.
