Best acne scarring treatment?

I have been battling mild-moderate acne for a few years now. I have the acne under control most of the time but I just can get rid of the scars.

Most of the are pinky/brown in colour and I have one dark one which is particularly problematic to cover with makeup.

Im looking for a product that’s relatively easy to buy and will help remove the colouring of my acne scars so I don’t have to dip my face in makeup to cover it.

Please help! ive researched online but there are just too many products out there.

Derma Pen Skin Needling can really help as can regular Microdermabrasion treatments. A topical product that I have been using and am very pleased with is Skinstitut Retinol Serum

Ive tried all kinds of acne products even the other skin products made by dermalmd. They where to harsh on my skin. Within a week of using dermalmd acne serum my skin cleared and my skin tone evened out. Ill never use anything else. But remeber eveyones skin is diff. Try drinking plenty of water and put a little lemon in ot to help.

I recently started using a vitamin B serum and have noticed really great results so far, my skin is less oily and my acne scars seem to be fading. I’m going to begin using a vitamin c serum when i run out of the vitamin B. I also agree with all the rosehip oil suggestions, it evened out my skin tone and reduced redness and helped heal blemishes quicker but the serums definitely work better for my acne scarring and the oiliness of my skin – so i don’t get more breakouts. Derma Rolling and Vitamin C are both good at speeding up the skins production of collagen, i have been derma rolling for a few months now and have noticed an improvement. Most salons now offer this treatment but if you do consider a salon treatment they may suggest a peel or laser depending on the severity of your scarring.

I’ve also heard vitamin A is good for acne and scarring but i haven’t personally used it yet.

Vitamin E products like bio oil help speed up the healing of new scars so if they are deep scars or old ones I don’t think these will help as much as the others.

Rosehip oil does absolute wonders! My face is almost blemish free after only a few months using it everyday!
Do your normal skin cleansing routine, make sure your face is still damp and then apply a few drops into your palm then transfer onto your fingertips and massage into your face. 🙂

The La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ has worked wonders for my pimples, blackheads and pigmentation. Not sure how it would work for deep scarring, but it it’s more like simple discolouration from picking at pimples then definitely worth trying!

mooloo I’ll look it up now. I need help with all 3 things you mentioned!

I would recommend you to look for a night cream with retinol and alpha lipoic acid which works to diminish the appearance of remnant marks (uneven skin texture and discoloration) associated with past breakouts for a smooth, clear, evenly toned complexion. Salicylic acid also clears pores.

One that I’ve been surprised about is Vitamin C – my marks seem to reduce significantly as soon as I add a Vit C product in! At the moment using up a trial of the Paula’s Choice serum, but have used a range from the health food store (Alba Botanics) with equal success.

I can see that some Alpha H products and other brands with Glycolic acid have been recommended and that’s great. Glycolic is the best it you want a more natural treatment. I’d also recommend Alpha H’s Liquid Gold. It also contains Glycolic and it does a great job getting rid of skin imperfections such as acne scarring. You need to be patient but it does work over time.

Another thing to try is to find a beautician who does Glycolic peels. They hurt but are totally worth the pain. The have helped me with my acne scars.

    +1 for Alpha H products

Their products also helped smoothen the texture of my skin due to oil-clogged pores.

Also try the whitening essence by History of whoo (High end korean brand)… It’s on the pricey side from memory about $165 for a bottle.
