Alpha hydroxy acids for skincare.

I’ve just turned 31, and I’m really conscious about taking care of my skin. I’ve known about AHA’s for a while, but I just don’t know where to go about looking.

I have very dry, very sensitive skin which is clear, but the fine lines are starting to show and I have unusually large pores.

I would really appreciate your tips for afordable AHA products.

I had a friend suggest Dermalogica. Another great suggestion.

I just bought the Dermalogica Gentle Cream exfoliant and absolutely love it 🙂 I also reommend watching Lisa Eldridges skin care videos, she recommends some great products and believes in chemical exfoliation!

I have dry skin as well and have really been loving the John Plunketts Glyco Peel – I only use it twice a week (so I don’t dry my skin further) but the results have been great. Which reminds me, I’m nearly out so will have to order more soon 🙂

I really like this Physicians Formula one. It’s a great AHA for anti-ageing.

I’m 39 and sensitive skinned. I wear this alone after cleansing at night but my skin is not very dry. Drier skins should apply moisturiser on top. It makes my skin really smooth. I definitely notice a difference.

Be warned that this is fragranced so if you have problems with that, steer clear.

I know, it’s quite reasonable when you put it like that. A worthwhile investment. I’ll have to squeeze it into our budget. It’s just one of those months, when every single bill you have falls into your lap.

Go-To does look appealing, but ugh, I have right pockets and the thought of free shipping makes me rather happy. Such conflict.

Rach it says to use the swipes at least weekly but no more than 3 times a week.
I would say if this is your introduction to AHA’s then using them once a week for the first few weeks would probably be sufficient.
But even if you use them twice a week as Bee1 does then really that would last you about 6months? Or close to that anyway.
So about $8 a month? or $2 a week? Doesn’t sound overly expensive, however I do understand the initial outlay issue 🙁

Totally justified. You NEED a lip balm for the car, that is non negotiable. Our delicate lips are so sensitive, they need to be conditioned and luscious at all times!
As for the AHA products, the right thing to do is finish them off but…. the swipeys are just the best things since sliced bread. I’m in skincare love!

    not at all!!
I am tossing up whether i finish the AHA products I have here from beauty boxes first… you know do the right thing!
Or go and buy these straight up LOL

I am spewing i bought the Nuxe lip balm last week!! It would have been a perfect excuse to buy this now LOL
But I also bought the Beevenom lip balm from Beautorium LOL
Is it bad i am trying to justify that the Nuxe can be on my bedside, the beevenom in my make up box and the Go-To can be in the car? I have almost finished the one that lives in the car anyway 😀
