Advice for skincare routine (face)

Hi BH friends,
I’ve always done the steps of washing my face, cleansing and every few days using a light exfoliant then moisturising. Day and night. Very basic skin care routine!! I also prefer more natural based products. However I am now 26 and realising my skin needs more love and hydration. I’m willing to try products that have chemicals in them if they work to keep skin tone even, reduce the appearance of lines and pores and keep my skin clear and hydrated. My main aim being to prevent the appearance of lines and hydration. Can any of you provide me with a skin care routine that has worked for you? I have normal to dry skin.
Thank you for any help or advice. I’m out of my depth and worried some beauticians are biased towards products they are supposed to sell. Which I can understand. I also have a limit of what I can afford.
Abbey 🙂

Masks and exfoliating packs are not really a daily thing.

Hi there, have you tried rosehip oil?? It would be a good place to start by implementing that into ur routine as a serum. It certainly would help with hydration and evening out ur skin tone.

Funny, I use Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil for my hair, I am really surprised none of you ladies has mentioned Shea Butter. My Monsia Advanced Skin Renewal System gives me a cleanser (with Shea butter, Jojoba Oil and collagen), toner (with Hyaluronic Acid & Shea Butter), day cream (with SPF 15, Hyaluronic Acid & Shea Butter) and night cream (with Advanced Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen & Shea Butter) that work together and certainly suits my skin. I am 60+ and most days do not use any make-up at all I have always used a complete range and always tried not to mix different products, i.e. Simple moisturiser with L’Oreal day cream and Nivea Q-10 night cream. In my experience I have found (may be just my imagination) that there sometimes appears to be a conflict, one working against the other and not producing the results I expect. I’d be very interested to know what you ladies think.

Hi Abbey6may, You don’t have to go to chemical based products if you enjoy the natural ranges, I’m 35 and only ever used natural products, I love them.. I’m going to say Rosehip oil as well, that would be great to include in your routine. Otherwise, look into Jojoba it’s been getting a lot of attention lately for it’s anti-ageing benefits. I buy all my natural skincare products from an online company based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.. maybe just go onto their site and have a look at what’s on offer http://www.onefloor.com.au

Hello Everyone! I am new to forum but I am looking forward to learning and sharing!

I just read your post and was wondering if you have every tried NeriumAD skincare line? It’s a wonderful natural, botanical-based product with no harsh ingredients that actually works! It works with all skin types, ages, ethnicity and gender. You’re still very young but it’s never too late to get a jump start on giving your skin the great care it needs so you age gracefully and look fantastic doing it. 😉

I’d be happy to get you more info on it if you’re interested!

Joole have you tried Peptalash from Indeed Labs? It is supposedly good and a lot more affordable than some others.
Both Oil of Morroco and Pur Minerals have mascaras with Argan Oil in them.

*Pink hornet* where did you get Peptalash? Is it available at Priceline?

I got my peptalash from tvsn.com.au They also have Hydraluron on sale and the masks too.
The postage is high adds about $5 a product if you buy a minimum of two products.

I have pretty long lashes to begin with and strong eyebrows, so my eyelashes seemed to get thicker but not enough that I would repurchase. Not sure why I bought it, given that I do have long thick lashs. I think I was on a ‘must try’ everything from a newly discovered brand. I love the other Indeed Labs products I have tried, I am totally addicted to Hydraluron and Snoxin.
So my advice would be to try it. If it doesn’t work after trying for a few weeks you can send it back for a refund and you are just out your postage.

I will put it on my wish list 🙂 thanks pink hornet . I have short Asian eye lash, and lately my brow is getting sparse…

Hi *cocoabutter* if you do try the pepta lash can you please let me know how you go with it. I was tempted when I put my tvsn order in just to get the most outa the postage ($9.99!) but I held back! I’ve got so many things on my ‘wishlist’ well I wished I had written them all down, suggestions from the forums and now having trouble finding them!! Someone, maybe you(?) suggested the real techniques brushes and now can’t find the thread that we wre all talking about makeup and everyone so nicely gave me great suggestions…now to find them!! Lol! Totally off track know 😉 have a great Sunday everyone

Hi growing old, Don’t think I will try it soon, spent too much money in the last 2 months, the 40% off priceline sale… and I just got a vaporiser from in essence :p

Does tvsn continually stock these indeed lab products or they only stock for a little while?

Do you use an eye cream? If not you should add that to your routine. I regret being lazyand didn’t use it until I was 30, shouldve used it earlier

No I don’t, any you would suggest?

I’m a late starter to eye cream myself and have just discovered Clinique’s Even Better Eyes, Dark Circle Corrector. Its a lovely light moisturiser with a slight skin colour. Its not a concealer, but it helps the appearance. I can see a difference in the skin under my eyes after just 2 weeks.
