WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THAT!

Why don’t we start A type of handy hints that others may find useful?

I’ll start.

I was picking up coffee beans off the bench, with spoon in my mouth(yes) and put the beans into a plastic container. The spoon was annoying me so I stuck into the beans upside down. BRIGHT IDEA fill a nice looking container with coffee beans, pebbles, marbles and stick in your make up brushes upside down!!
Instant organiser. Pretty, fragrant depending on what you use, and the brushes won’t get dirty……unless you have a husband addicted to talc, but that is another problem I will work out one day….LOL

I purchased a handbag organiser online. It is great as it has pockets for nearly everything like lipsticks, pens and makeup so theydon’t end up on the bottom of your bag, broken. There is a hook to click your keys on and an outside zipper to drop coins into. I think it was only about $5. I’ve got one in my work and going out handbags

Thanks gogirly! There are heaps! There’s free postage & they come in a million colours! I don’t usually like sending my money to China, but these are so cute & practical & cheap. I can’t decide between the red & the purple one.

I just store mine upside down in a drinking glass and it works fine for me. I’d probably get annoyed if my brush handles smelled like coffee or were powdery from rice 🙂

Gogirly, Is it one of the ones that you can pull out and just move to each bag that you have? I ‘collect’ bags so I have thought about getting one instead of having to move everything out each time.

Monkey1, for your talcum addicted husband, put his talc in the small spice containers with a bit of rice at the top to stop heaps from tipping out (and to stop it from clumping). It should help minimise how much he uses in one bit, forces him to refill his own container and hopefully make him a bit more mindful. Plus it’s good for travelling. You can also make your own talcum powder using cornstarch as the base (very good for those whose skins don’t tolerate talcum as a mined product). Sprinkle in a few skin-friendly essential oils (just a few drops only), seal and shake.

    Hope that helps!

Very smart idea, i might have to do this for all my brushes. Thanks monkey 1 🙂

I like to put my make-up brushes into a clear container or make-up bag that I can seal so dust and other elements don’t sit on the bristles of the brush.

That is actually really smart…so far I’ve bought a beautiful pencil holder from Daiso for just $2.80 and that holds all my brushes and it looks so pretty that everyone that comes over asks me where I got it.
