What weird things do you do with your beauty products?

I sometimes use my hair straightener to iron out a collar or crease before I head out the door, so I was wondering if anyone else uses their beauty products for something they wasn’t designed for?

I use my nail polish remover to get rid of any carpet stains in my room.
I also do the clear nail polish on some jewelry, it lasts so much longer.

    I love that idea Carli!

Probably the weirdest thing I do is use a ‘just used’ (so it’s still damp) face wipe to take the dust off any dusty windowsill or dusty kickboard along the floorline. This way the face wipe does double duty!! Being damp, it whisks the dust off thoroughly!

    I do this too! 🙂

Me three! They work so well!

During winter when my hands aren’t able to warm up wax strips, I just use a hair dryer to melt the wax!

That’s a great idea! Gonna try that next time I wax my legs.

    4 things I’m guilty of:
    1. I use clear nail polish for my shiny jewellery to keep the shine and prevent them from going dull.
    2. When there’s still sunscreen in my palms, I use it to flatten my hair and give it a “shiny” look.
    3. When I run out of body wash… conditioner is the quickest option.
    4. If there’s a perfume I don’t like, it becomes a spray to freshen my room.
My mother thinks I’m so weird xD

    I have a few. 😛

I use clear polish on cosmetic jewellery (like earrings) so it doesn’t cause any irritation because there’s a barrier between the metal and my skin. I also apply a coat over diamantes in cosmetic jewellery as it acts as a sealant and keeps the stones from falling out. It’s also handy to add to other coloured polishes when they get a little gloopy as it thins it out without changing the colour.

I had a favourite handbag show a few white patches where the material had somehow ripped away in tiny spots (it was new too, must have touched something sticky when I took it out). I mixed and matched a bunch of polish shades together and touched up the dots so you couldn’t see it at all. The handbag is almost as good as new now! I’ve done the same with eyeliner on scratches on my black shoes.

After applying primer, I generally run my palms over the crown of my head to smooth down flyaways. Better than hairspray!

I too use my hair straightener to fix collars and crinkled clothes before leaving the house- tethnically it is an iron 😛 I have always used conditioner when shaving. I often use my hairdryer to de fog the mirror and to dry my clothes when I’ve made a mess on them and had to do a little spot clean. When my oils go solid, to warm them up I just shove them under wherever my boyfriend is sitting and voila! Melted oil in a few minutes with no exertion on my part 🙂

Hehehe….. I am giggling so much at the thought of your boyfriend trying to heat and “hatch” your oils. With my hubby and a four year old boy in the house, there is so much more I could say… But I am restraining myself ; D

Merry Christmas Bee1, you have started the Christmas cheer early for me 🙂
