    HELP!! I`m totally new to MAC, I`m still in high school I`m a total drugstore beauty girl, I don`t have very many high end makeup products. The only MAC product I own is the Studio Fix Pressed Powder and so far that`s been great but I`ve since found a drugstore dupe for that.

    Does anyone have any good recommendations for some great MAC starter products (for people new to MAC)? I`m wanting to get into MAC, as I`ve been working part time a lot now and have saved up.

    What are the products that are must haves for you guys?! let me know xx

    I`m in the same boat (Only have their Diva matte lippie and the face and body foundation) and I`m doing a big US order to get sent to my friend who lives over there. So far I think I want

    #
    * Dubonnet lipstick
    * Twig lipstick
    * Soar lip liner
    * Brit Wit cremeblush
    * Sculpting powder in sculpt

    I think that`s it, does anyone have these or have you tried them? I don`t have to have my order in for a while so I`d like to hear opinions if anyone has any!

    Also a couple of the things I was are pro so they just come in the pan, any suggestions on how I can store these without buying a whole palette?

    maydayismyday you`re hilarious haha!

    sharon629 you`re welcome, would love to know how yours go. I`m using the studio fix at the moment and haven`t had a problem, I would recommend getting a sample first though before buying the foundation. Have also read a lot of reviews of people breaking out with MAC products.

    If you`re already wanting to purchase a few products, you`re basically walking away with the makeover free 🙂

    That`s what I`m thinking! So, there`s no limitation of the kind of products the cost of the makeover can be redeemed on? I`l definitely be doing this if there`s a MAC haul in my future! (I usually only buy one product at a time to justify the cost!)

    I think it`s only redeemable on products that they use on you for the day. I was interested in buying the studio fix foundation and a nude lipstick before the appointment so I mentioned that to her and she used those products on me. Not sure how it would work of you wanted to purchase 4 lipsticks though, and they only use one. Maybe call your MAC store and check 🙂

    Here`s info from the MAC website:

    I did the makeup in 60 option. Just had a look and they also do complimentary services:

    Thanks for that.

    So, I`m guessing `I`d like an ombre lip look using three different shades of lipstick` won`t work. 😉

    I`ve heard of Ruby Woo on YouTube a lot, definitely a list on the lipsticks I have to try. And that`s such a great idea about the MAC beauty sessions, I do love redeemable makeovers! I`ll book an appointment soon and let you guys know on how it goes, I`ll research my products beforehand too. Thanks so much XoFatima!

    BTW — has anyone ever had a problem with breaking out from MAC foundations? I have done some research and have heard that has happened to quite a number of people.

    I know what you mean, I`ve been to my local Mac shop a couple of times and its so chaotic that I ended up feeling overwhelmed and walked away. I`m definately going to decide online before walking in!

    Yep! Me too! As much as I love the few MAC items I own, I really dislike visiting their counters. It can be quite overwhelming, and the customer service isn`t usually that great.

    I booked a makeup appointment with MAC and really enjoyed the one on one attention. I researched before my appointment the products I was interested in buying (looked at reviews and swatches online) to get an idea but also asked for recommendations. During the appointment the makeup artist went through every product she used on me, was really informative and taught me a lot about MAC products and how to apply them.

    If you know you want to buy MAC classes for around $95, I would definitely recommend these appointments.

    I blogged about my MAC appointment last week if anyone needs more info:
    My MAC makeup appointment

    Also I just found out that MAC do work shops called MAC Techniques. It sounds like a fantastic way to avoid the usual counter crowds and get to learn about MAC products without feeling overwhelmed 🙂

    *xoFatima*…i just visited your blog…gosh i love the look they created. I would look into the make up appointment with them for sure. I`ve never tried with MAC counter, but had good experience with MECCA girls. I should look into this as i do have few items and lippies i wanna get from MAC.

    I saw your blog comment, thank you!

    I think that it`s important to communicate the kind of look you`re after, also they let you help choose the colors and coverage so that was a something I really liked.
