Sleek Cosmetics

Hi beauties,

I’ve noticed that Sleek Cosmetics are now exclusively available to Target. The reviews online are incredible – the eyeshadow palettes look incredibly pigmented and I’m keen on trying out the highlighting palettes too.

Just a heads up that Sleek are not in every Target store. I live in the western suburbs in VIC; after being disappointed at a couple of stores, I called up the hotline before they told me that the Target store at Highpoint is the closest one that stocks this brand.

There’s a sale going on right now at Target -25% off (I think) on these products ending on 20th April. I really really want to try (read: buy) these products but I’m just waiting for pay day on Friday before I step foot in Target and lose control! LOL!

I went to the local Target and they were sold out of pretty much everything.

All that was left were one each of the eye & cheek palettes and the makeup brush set. So I just purchased these palettes – All Day Soiree and Midsummer Dream. I was really looking forward to grabbing their Solstice Highlighter palette. Looks like I will have to go to Watergardens in the hope that they have more stock. But I’m not keeping too high a hope in that happening. LOL!

I just used All Day Soiree this morning. I’m not a pink blush kinda person and I was pleasantly surprised. The colour was so soft and feminine. Even the husband commented on how I looked very summery and different from my usual look.

The eyeshadows were beautifully pigmented and blended like a dream. I agree with the fallout – they were quite powdery, but it didn’t bother me too much because I always do my eyes before my base (I’m all about the base, about the base, about the base – no treble!).

There was a shimmery eyeshadow pan; I used it as a highlighter and it was so subtle, I loved it. It makes me even more determined to get the highlighter pan. Though I really shouldn’t. (I have signed up to the thread on spending ban).

I like Sleek. I’ve got the Oh So Special, Vintage Romance & Garden of Eden palettes. That rose gold blush sounds enticing.

  • I have just one palette: Sleek i Divine in Original and one blush: Rose Gold

I don’t use the original palette that much. I might have used it 5 times max in the three years I have had it. The texture is soft, it blends well and the colours are pigmented. The reason I don’t use it much is because I don’t wear shimmery shades lately and there is some fallout from the shades.

The Rose Gold blush is gorgeous! It is a close dupe for NARS Orgasm. It is coral-ish colour with beautiful sheen. I haven’t found the need to buy orgasm because I have already have this.

My local Target just started stocking it. I might pick up the Eau La La eyeliner next time I see it on sale.

There must be an old thread with swatches from long time ago that I am not able to find.
