Recommendations for under eye concealer

Hi all,

I’m looking to buy some value for money and quality concealer that is not too expensive- max for me is $20..nothing above. I have bags under my eyes that I want to conceal.. something that is suitable for oily skin.

Thanks,

Meredithanne90 🙂

I’ve found the Maybelline Fit Me concealer does a decent job. I can’t justify the Nars or Mac right now, but when I am out of the Maybelline I will take the plunge.

I have pretty horrific under eye circles and I’ve been having a lot of luck with the Tarte Maracuja creaseless concealer and the NARS creamy concealer. I do prefer the Tarte just a wee bit more as the Maracuja oil keeps the area well hydrated. 🙂

Both are thick, creamy and stay put all day!

I love the Maybelline Age rewinds as well I use the light one and the brightener shade. Never creased on me yet!

I use MAC studio fix concealer. Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier make good ones as well.

Stay C, I’ve just done a review on a concealer: Mirenesse Touch On Concealer 24 Hr Long-Wear Minerals Fill & Cover. The shade Pale Ivory has a pink undertone so I couldn’t use it as a concealer, but I found it had a brightening effect.

You could also try Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat. I saw a YouTube video by Wayne Goss on this product. Apparently, it is not meant to be a concealer like many people assume. It’s more for brightening:

I use the L’Oreal Touche Magique which is meant to be a dupe for the Yves Saint Laurent, it is really brightening and I love it! And you can layer it on with out it going cakey, it’s quite moisturising. I did a review on it http://uniquelyimi.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/concealer-review-series-part-1.html

Thought I’d resurrect this thread as I’m after more of a brightening rather than concealing product, my under eyes are a bit shadowed but not really dark or bruised looking so I just want to brighten but it has to be a light formula as the minute I start applying anything under my eyes the skin suddenly looks crepey and kind of pouchy and is worse than before I used anything.

Has anyone used Bareminerals Stoke of Light?
It’s mentioned in an email from Mecca today and sounds like it might be what I’m after and is pretty reasonably priced too.

I love the Youngblood one. It’s not cheap but it blends the best of any I have tried. 🙂

Thank you so much for posting your pics- I have terribly dark circles (yours are great compared with mine!) and have such a hard time finding something that actually works. The difference is amazing and I am going to try this product out. Can’t thank you enough !

Stephie took the words out of my mouth. I feel like I have been preaching Bobbi Brown a little recently but it’s just because I have only recently been trying out the products! Here is a pic of my eyes – one with Light Bisque Corrector and the other with nothing on. You don’t even need a concealer after the corrector (which Bobbi always advises).

PS. I know it’s about double what you’re willing to pay but it’s worth it if undereye darkness is a big concern of yours!
