Oval Brushes

So I was on Facebook today and this girl was showing the set of oval brushes that she got from this Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/ovalbrushset/

This was the first time I’ve heard of it. Has anyone used any of these oval brushes before? I know there are the expensive version that MAC and Artis has but these seems quite good and cheap.. not sure how legit it is though.

    Thanks Steph and Delicious Girl!

Delicious Girl – have you got the link to the bay one you got? They look exactly the same like the one on Facebook. If they’re only $18 i might have to get some and try it out.

    Hey InaJ!

I got the 10pc set on eBay which is similar to the one on the FB page for about $18 with shipping. I like the brushes.

The medium sized ones are the easiest for me to use. I use it to blend cream/liquid foundation. The bristles are very dense and very soft. The brush doesn’t have as much movement on the face say as a traditions kabuki powder brush. But when used in circular motions, it really even out the complexion and makes the cream blend well with the skin.

The eyeliner brushes are also good for winged liner. But I usually tight line or just smudge my gel liner into the eyeshadow. I can’t find much use for it.

I have tried but I can’t use the biggest one or any of the medium sized ones for powders, highlighters or blush. They do ok with cream highligher but I prefer a round soft tapering brush with some movement.

I definitely recommend getting the cheap version before you take the plunge into something expensive. They are all made in China. So is Artis.

I was intrigued by the Artis ones especially when there was a great sale last year but I ended up deciding I’m not dissatisfied with how traditional brushes work. That being said some of the reviews/first impressions videos have been great.

As for that set it looks great, dense etc. You should see if there are any videos about! I always like to see how much give the bristles have on the skin before I buy any brushes online.
