Mirenesse Site error? charging old customers? Still No refund UPDATED

Hi All

I just wanted let people know who have purchased VIP with Mirenesse in the past they have updated their website recently and charged me $25 for VIP.

I cancelled my VIP ages ago. I have emailed them and I cannot find the review thread on here for that company so forgive the new thread. I made a complaint once on their facebook and can not longer post on there so can only contact them via email.

I was still getting their emails despite not a vip. So I assume anyone who has been a VIP and still getting those emails may have been charged too.

Hopefully they sort it out. For a student $25 is a big chunk of my budget.

    I 100% agree, I think constructive criticism is a great thing. Companies make mistakes but it’s how they handle them I think that matters.

    They just emailed me and said they have never received an email regarding this when I have an the automatic reply that my message had been sent and a reply on the 13th as well from a staff member. It was only the people who posted to their facebook on my behalf mentioning the ACCC and contacting my bank did they reply again. To say that is the first time they’ve been contacted is not true. I should not have to be chasing it up.

    Edit: I just got another email saying the refund is being processed. Also I noticed the reply on the 13th and today is nearly word for word in terms of them updating their website recently. I hope anyone else who was charged notices and get it sorted.

    Still have no refund after contacting Mirenesse. Absolutely appaulling.
    I was recently put in a situation that left me with no income for a number of weeks. $25 may not seem like alot but to a student it is. The person who posted it happened to them I can not longer find that post and they never posted and publicly addressed there was an issue which concerns me that others may have been charged and not know.

    I had someone post my behalf since I cannot post after being blocked ages for asking for a reply to their email. They inboxed the person on my behalf not from Mirenesse but from another account asked for my name. They informed me they do no keep argumentative posts and all customer service must be done via email. I emailed them over a week ago. I still cannot believe they have not made a public announcement to ensure others have not been charged. I should have the right to use social media to give a company feedback and Mirenesse seems to be deleting any negative feedback regarding it and calling it argumentative.

    That’s appalling. To me a company to be more ‘ethical’ if they respond to negative feedback. As well as shoes that they deal with it to the customers satisfaction. To me that indicates they value their customers and are prepared to deal with a problem, not fob you off. A fb page with only good comments from customers tends to make me highly suspicious.

    Hope that makes sense, and I hope someone from mirenesse is reading this. Might be time to lodge a complaint thru the ACCC.

    A few people have posted on their facebook page that it has happened to them so I suggest people who have purchased VIP the past check their emails and bank statement.

    I don’t bother with Mirenesse as they have daily complaints up on the facebook page, I wouldn’t risk it.

    Every time I read something about Mirenesse I feel embarrassed for them, they have the shittiest track record for customer service. I wouldn’t leave it up to Mirenesse to fix this unless you’re willing to wait until you are old and grey before you get your money, contact your bank and have them cancel the charge, you definitely have grounds to do so if they didn’t have your permission to charge it in the first place.

    I just logged in my account and my details are my current address but the order according to the email was for my old address so I assume my details are on an old database.

    That’s unfair to be charged out of the blue like that! Surely they need your permission before charging for anything!!
    I’ve heard and read on threads before about atrocious customer service from Mirenesse. My mum used to swear by their mascara but her last two purchases were complete duds and they refused to acknowledge that the formula could possibly have changed.
    Personally, I will never buy from them again as their service is just not acceptable.
