Manicare Precise Makeup Sponge SHORTAGE! :(

My beloved Manicare Precise Makeup Sponge split on me a few days back whilst giving it it’s fortnightly cleanse (was so sad about it!). Didn’t think too much of it as I knew (well, assumed) that I could go out and get a new one straight away. Incorrect.
I have been to:
– 3 Priceline stores
– 3 pharmacies
– Target
– Kmart
NONE of them stock them! Like there isn’t even a price tag on the shelf that says that they stock it. I’m SO sad, this is my holy grail of makeup applicators and works so well for me. I’m willing to travel around to get one (I’m in east Melbourne) – if anyone knows somewhere that may stock them, PLEASE let me know.

Thanks hunni’s, xxx

My Manicare one also split a few weeks ago, and I got the real techniques one instead as it was on sale. I think it is SO much better, it absorbs way less product and I much prefer the finish.

Ana, how much is the Real Techniques one? Sounds like a great product

The RRP is about $16 in Priceline, but it’s much cheaper online. I got mine on sale, so it was only $10. Sorry for the late reply. 🙂

OMG thanks for the tip! I have everything Real Techniques except for the miracle sponge, wasn’t sure about it but I guess its a winner like the rest of their products!
Larger targets sell the Manicare sponges so I stocked up on the babies 🙂
Chi-Chi make a sponge almost identical to Real Technique’s and the Beauty Blender.. Interesting to know how it applies…

Is this the right one? They still have online for ordering if you get desperate.

You’re too quick mayday lol. 😛

    Hi Muser!
Thanks for that, but trust me, that is my last resort as shipping with Priceline takes FOREVER, plus it’s way too overpriced! Might try the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge instead 🙂 🙂

I have the same Manicare blending sponge. I bought the Real Techniques one but I haven’t opened it. I want another Manircare one but I am not going to order one either. lol. Take the plunge!

I actually ended up finding the Manicare sponge at a larger target, so I stocked up AND they had them for 30% off. Score!!! Oh and Chi Chi have an almost identical dupe of the Beauty Blender (like the Real Techniques one) which was also 30% off (RRP. $5.95, so who cares if it’s terrible)

  • Have you tried the super large Chemist chains in Melbourne like Chemist Warehouse?

I know they stock a lot of Manicare products – I do think it’s more a matter of it being very popular & therefore out of stock temporarily rather than discontinued.

Natio also do a makeup blending tool that’s very similar and under $10

Hey darceyb, Priceline have a “Precision Blending Sponge” on their website, not sure if it is the same on though? https://www.priceline.com.au/index.php/cosmetics/cosmetic-accessories/cosmetic-brushes-and-applicators/precision-blending-sponge-1.0-ea

Good luck with the search. 🙂
