Looking for a new primer, any advice?
I’m looking to find a new primer, i’ve used a couple but i found that it doesn’t keep my foundation on all day.
Any suggestions on what you guys have used and what worked well?

I recently bought a Laura Mercier primer., and I’m really happy with it. I got the hydrating version, but they have a huge range of different ones. They aren’t cheap, but I’m thinking the tube will last for ages, considering the tiny amount that I need to use. Check out Adore Beauty….

Great thread ladies! I’m also looking for a new primer. I have been using the Chi Chi Flawless face primer, which I love, but is now sadly discontinued. I have quite a red face, and I have seen a dermatologist about it and use a prescription rosacea cream. I still have rosy cheeks despite using the cream. It has worked and reduced my redness though. I really want to find a good primer for redness. I find no matter how much I try with green concealers, normal concealers, green primers and full coverage foundation, my cheeks still have a bit of colour. I shouldn’t really complain as it looks quite natural. I spose I only really want a primer to cover my redness so that I can play with blush lol!

Thank you ladies! I’m actually using my Mummy’s Napolean at the moment, when she finds out I might get the FOA AND the L’Oreal primers.

I use Face of Australia primer. It works well for my sensitive skin.
+1 vote for Face of Australia primer. I’ve tried quite a few others, but find I reach for this 90% of the time. I like how it has SPF protection too
+2 for Face of Australia primer – cheap and effective! Dupe for Napolean Perdis’ primer as well.

I need one that works as a glue or something. I can NEVER get my foundation to stay on my nose! I work in a place that is so hot that I sweat so much and I always have a runny nose.
I like ‘glowy’ skin so I don’t know if I need the matte/oil control but I am so over my red nose that I would start a thread on it if I could!
HALP!I found the L’oreal primers to be thick in texture & really stay put. Could work well for your nose area

I’m using the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. It’s got talc so it is oil absorbent, fills the pores (a little) and isn’t too “siliconey” if that makes sense. I think I love it, but if it worked a bit harder to control shine through the day (I get very oily through the t-zone) I would fall in love. Still looking for a holy grail though.
