Liptember

Thanks JustSmilexxO and misfortune8 :). I can’t wait to check out my local chemist warehouse this Saturday. I want the purple, blue and I want to see what the red is like 🙂

I’m interested in getting a few of the colours but I thought it was a lucky dip? I’ve only checked it out online, maybe it’s different in store

I went online & I didn’t like the sound of a lucky dip. Like JustSmilexxO I didn’t want to end up with green or yellow. I went instore & found them without a problem, they even had testers! They were in the makeup aisle, with all the other W7 products. I noticed they had a bright pink shade which is not pictured above in the promo pic.

JustSmilexxO you went instore & couldn’t find them anywhere? Always ask. Sometimes I go to the supermarket specifically looking for something on sale & the shelf’s empty, then when I ask if they’ve got any ‘out the back’ I’m directed to a huge end of aisle display. Or wall of product just before the checkouts. Maybe your local Chemist Warehouse put them in a spot they thought were prominent, but weren’t.

I really want to get the purple one! I seen online that its lucky dip too! & i would hate to get the green or yellow one! I i don’t need makeup I’m not going to use!
so I thought id check them out in store (chemist wearhouse) but i couldn’t find them anywhere!!
are they worth trying out? I feel I want to really get one to support Liptember! (:

You’re supposed to try the testers on your hand or something!

Oh no, I would never ever apply directly to my lips from the tester. I will wipe the lippy with an antibacterial wipe, scratch a bit off from down the bottom, and apply this way.

I saw these last week for the first time and was kind of disappointed with the colours, I like the concept but please find me a persona who will wear yellow, blue or green lipstick everyday for a month so I can sponsor them and also die of shock at the same time! Like I said, concept is great but seriously.. I wouldn’t buy the red because I have a hundred of those already, I can’t wear orange so that leaves me with purple (because the others are just silly for normal wear if you ask me), I would definitely wear purple, although I may look odd because it would match my hair ha!

I think they would sell a HELL of a lot more if they also had a wearable range.

The point of the crazy colours is they promote conversation about the charity. Strangers on the street will ask you what were you thinking. Not only does the charity profit from the lippie sales, if you register online you can get people to sponsor you to wear that colour throughout September. If you start seeing people with crazy lips working at your bank or something – it’s definitely promoting awareness.
This isn’t the first year this has been on, yet I haven’t seen many people on the street doing this (unless they’re going for the red option).
