A really good eyelash accelerator is Christian Dior’s Eyelash Base. It’s used as a base but actually helps the eyelashes grow. xx

I’ve heard that the prescription one can affect the colour or the iris, darkening it to brown and with bright blue eyes it scares me. I’d rather use falsies than risk stuffing up one of my best features.

That is Lumigan (Latisse), which Scarlett Angel posted about above. It began as a treatment for glaucoma, which is an inherited disorder that causes progressive blindness. Someone noticed that it enhanced lash growth, and it became used for that as well.

The most likely side effect is that eye colour has a high probability of moving permanently towards grey. As most people are aware, babies eyes are grey at birth and change within the first few weeks after birth. It appears possible that this drug may permanently reverse that process.

Thanks for such a nice tips. 🙂 Eyelashes outline the eyes and focus the facial peculiarities, showing up more female. Rejuvalash is very useful. Rejuvalash is ideal for the lady who needs to look and feel as engaging as could sensibly be typical.

I’ve tried various brands over the years ranging from $20 – $150 & Let me tell you none of these work! They are only lash conditioners and not “growth serums” as misleadingly advertised. They mainly contain vitamins which can strengthen & condition your lashes – but not promote actual growth, make lashes longer or thicker. A good, cheap lash conditioner which is great for brittle lashes is simply using a bit of Rosehip oil on them.

The “medication used to treat glaucoma” mentioned is the only product proven to promote eyelash growth. It comes in a form of growth serum now for both lashes & brows.

Just google “Latisse”. Latisse has an actual drug in it (Lumigan) that increases hair growth. I’m curious about it too but worried about the side effects – not so much my eyelids turning darker because I wear eyeliner most days, but I wouldn’t want my eye colour to darken as it’s already a dark hazel.

I used the 1000 Hour version. It’s $39.95 in Priceline, but I picked it up on sale. It’s rather meh. I didn’t really see any difference. I’ve always wanted to try RapidLash but I’m not sure if I’m willing to pay that much for it. I’m keen to try the Ardell one. I’ve seen a lot of great reviews, and at around $20 it’s definitely worth a go. I’ll look for it next time I visit Priceline.

*Katshepsutt* has raved on her blog, Kat’s colourings, about the RapidLash, but it’s a bit expensive for my tastes. Priceline sells a cheaper lash serum, Ardell for $21.95.

I’ve only used it a few days but I’ll review in a month or so. There’s an error on the Priceline website, it’s not 19mL (which would be brilliant!) it’s only 1.9mL.

*Lauries:* how many mLs in the Foltene? I checked it out online & the tube looks much thicker than my little Ardell. It’s a pity you can’t review Foltene on BH.

[EDIT] I just saw a very interesting blog regarding the use of castor oil as a lash serum.

I had a look Katshepsutt and the Foltene bottle comes in a 10ml size. I don’t think that there are any travel or other sized bottles available. Which is pretty good when you consider the price! You are right, I would be good to do a review. I actually got the full sized bottle in one of my monthly beauty boxes that I’m subscribed to (I am currently subscribed to Bellabox, Violet Box, Lust Have It and The Parcel lol). I didn’t use it for ages, until I watched a video by Shannox. She used it in the vid and commented on how good it is, which prompted me to give it a go. I love it, but I want to know if the company tests on animals or not. It doesn’t explicitly say it anywhere on the product, packaging, instructions or website. So I have a bad feeling that they do test on animals :(. Major bummer for me.
My mum also told me that vaseline is supposed to work too. I might give that a go and see if it works :).

You have to wonder about a post from someone who has only one post to their name, and their profile name matches the product that they post a link to!
