How to get Sephora shipped to Australia

Hi Beauties,
Last night I was on the NYX cosmetics website and sadly realised that they do not ship internationally. But then I clicked on their “shipping internationally” link and it took me to a website called MyUS.com

Basically you receive an american address and you get your stuff (from any american website) sent there, and then they ship it to you here in Australia. So now I can get shop at Sephora online as well as NARS and heaps of other stuff.

I thought I would share this with you girls as I know a lot of you are upset that Sephora doesn’t ship to Australia.
Oh and if you click the link on the NYX website you get a free standard membership with the shipping company
Xx

I did a massive shop late last year s one of my best friends who studies over there came home for xmas. Such a shame they don’t allow those forwarding sites anymore!! I have a suspicion the prices will be significantly higher here, I was excited for cheaper benefit 🙁

If you want cheaper Benefit just order directly from their US site http://www.benefitcosmetics.com Orders over US$125 are free shipping and you get it all at US prices.

Yes it’s true sadly…I confirmed with shipitto when I wanted to place an order a few weeks ago that Sephora no longer ship to them (perhaps due to them opening in Australia in Dec?!). Not sure about MyUs, or wannitus, but as *Cathy* said, they’re likely to all be in the same boat!

    Devastating!

That’s not nice. I can’t see why sephora has an issue with it?

How lucky am I! Hubby is in the US for work at the moment. I gave him a list of all the things I want/need until we get our own Sephora. It was a massive list so when I was trying to cull it down, I did the side-by-side price comparison with some Australian websites. Some items were very minimal savings (just a couple of dollars) once I factored in the currency exchange and state sales tax. Some items were a huge difference though. One overnight treatment mask is $40 less at Sephora than it is at Mecca. Makes me wonder how they justify the price difference.

As far as Sephora AUS matching Sephora US prices – makes me wonder how they’re going to account for GST. I have a sneaky suspicion we’re still going to be paying more once that’s factored in. 🙁

Our prices will look higher as they need to be GST inclusive but some states in the US have up to 10% sales tax which is then added on to the listed price so I don’t think it will be that bad.

Lucrecia629 you’re very lucky! My parents are going in September so I too am giving my mum a huge Sephora/ Bath and Body works/ MAC list…I don’t think she will cope!

Also very good point about GST…although the US have their own taxes too so hopefully it doesn’t affect the price too much. I did read an article which basically inferred only the brands new to Aus (ie no counter presence) will be “price matched”- Urban Decay, Tarte, Kat Von D etc. Sadly I think brands like Lancome, Benefit etc will be priced the same as they are currently because they already sell here. But hopefully there are good deals with those brands to make up for it! I’m very intrigued to see how it will all pan out!

What?! This is devastating! (re. Sephora not sending to forwarding companies anymore). I was seriously contemplating trying it out. I have put it off for so long because I was scared about how much the shipping would cost – they charge a fee to purchase the items as well as shipping. I know Sephora does not accept international credit cards, so you have to get the shipping company to purchase the items for you. I felt it was just too messy, but now it looks like we wont be able to do it at all.
I’ve heard Sephora will be keeping their prices the same/equivalent as in the US when they come to Australia, but one thing I’m not sure about is which products that would apply to. For example, Lancome would have a set RRP price in Australia, so I doubt brands which are already sold here would be available for cheaper at Sephora, but hopefully all other brands such as Urban Decay, Tarte, Lorac, etc are charged the same as the US. Fingers crossed!

The only way I believe you can get Sephora into Australia is by using a concierge service such as the one offered by Hop Shop Go.
You pay a buyers premium and email HSG your shopping list, they send a staff member out to Sephora to procure the goods for you then on ship it, there is additional cost associated as it is more than just freight forwarding.
