Foundation for very pale skin?

So I have reasonably pale (okay – very pale) skin and struggle a lot to find a good foundation (drug store or high-end) that will match the colour of my neck but also last all day on my oily skin…

My favouritest that I have found so far are MAC and Bobbi Brown, but neither have been HG products for me.

Recommendations?

I really enjoy the becca radiant skin satin finish foundation in ‘porcelain’ or the manic panic liquid foundation in white to mix in with all my foundation that are too dark for me so that i can wear them

NARS, bourjois, Revlon, L’Oreal True Match, Shiseido are all great for pale skin

Which formulas of MAC have you tried?

At my palest I always go for Pro Longwear. Not only do they have a crazy number of shades, but they also have a completely neutral undertone. So NC is cool and NW is warm but in the pro lines they have N which is just plain neutral which I think for super pale girls is way better. The foundation itself is great, lasts all day in the heat of summer and is the one they recommend for oily/sweaty skin.

My understanding is they also do these N shades in Face and Body but I don’t have personal experience with it.

I can vouch for Revlon Photo- ready insta- fix foundation in Vanilla it suits my pale skin really well! Covergirl Tru Blend in L1 is pretty good too with a matte effect for the oiliness.

I know how you feel. I’m a pale girl with an oily nose. Cos of that I tend to go for mineral powder foundations. I currently use Nude by Nature in Light. However that is a tad dark for me but if I had one that matched my skin tone exactly, I’d look like a ghost and I feel like this is a better way to get some colour as I don’t use blush or bronzer.

I also find that Maybelline Fit Me Powder Foundation in 110, which is extremely close to my skin tone but it doesn’t have the coverage that I want. If you wanted a light coverage I’d definitely recommend that, and even in the stick formation in shade 110 is good too.

I’ve heard a lot that mixing Illamasqua’s foundation in White with most liquid foundations is a good way to get a match with a foundation that is a tad dark. As I’ve been recommended shades that are not available here but are in the US and they’d be a perfect match if they were. And using that product is the #1 recommended thing to help solve the issue with liquid foundation.

Also using a matte foundation is a good thing along with a good primer to combat the oiliness. I currently use the Maybelline Matte Maker Powder over the top of my NbN powder. Although this one is available in the Ivory/Fair shade it is only a light coverage.

I am super pale and have tried a lot of foundations. Revlon Buff is too dark for me and so are all the Mac foundations. Drugstore wise, Rimmel Match Perfection in Light Porcelain is lovely, as is Covergirl ready set go in 005. Lancôme Teint Idole 24H in 005 is a beautiful full-coverage long lasting foundation., and urban decay is foundation range is brilliant. My current favourite foundation is urban decay is pressed powder foundation in the lightest shade, Fair Cool. I’ve tried many others so if you are after advice or information about other brands please feel free to ask 🙂

I think there is a thread on here from not that long ago but here are my favs for Pale skin:

*Rimmel perfect match in Porcelain (buildable coverage)
*Bobbi Brown foundation stick in Alabaster or Porcelain (medium coverage)
*Maybelline fluid touch foundation in Porcelain (medium coverage)
*Maybelline fit me stick foundation in 110 Porcelain (light to medium coverage)
*Revlon Colour stay in Ivory (buildable coverage)
*Revlon Photo- ready insta- fix foundation in Vanilla or Shell (light to medium coverage)

Maybelline have just reformatted their fit me foundation in a Matte and poreless formulation and the lightest shades are much better then the original fit me. I’ve just bought it in the shade 110 Porcelain but haven’t tried it yet.

My fav is prob the Maybelline fluid touch for daily wear as it seems to last the best even on my oily T-zone.

There are some good pale gals on you tube and insta that I follow – thataylaa and mypaleskin.

Revlon colorstay in Buff. Very pale neutral shade. I use it to lighten dark foundations too.

I am very pale too, and have a lot of trouble finding foundation that is pale enough. The best thing I have found is Illamasqua’s foundation in White – that way you can just mix a bit of the white in with any other foundation that is too dark, and hey presto, you have a matching foundation!
