Foundation Concoction

Hey Beauties!

I am wondering if anyone else on here sort of makes up their own foundation/skincare recipes at home? I did this with a liquid foundation I had (Nude by Nature) which was really dry on my skin. I added some of it in a little bowl with some of my moisturiser (Pond’s). I then thought, “Why not add all my makeup I wear in at once?”. So I added in my illuminator (Nude by Nature), some sunscreen (Neutrogena), primer (Australis), and a bit of powder foundation (Nude by Nature) to thicken it into a bit of a mousse. The end result was amazing! I applied it with a sponge applicator in order to get even coverage and to help it all sink in. It stayed put for hours and didn’t go all shiny. I hope some other ladies have some “recipes” to share! Lol…:)

Yes, I have lightened my bronzer with translucent powder , I’ve mixed foundations together because I took a punt and bought the wrong colour , Add a couple of drops Rosehip oil to nightcream ( don’t make it runny ), I’ve mixed handcreams together in a travel bottle , always mix gradually though. Powder and liquid will turn lumpy

I have done this but with different foundations and BB creams to get the colour, finish and consistency that I want. If I’m going to be mixing my foundations every morning anyways, why not save time and mix a whole lot at once?! I’ve even seen someone do this and then soak it into a sponge to make a homemade cushion foundation! Then you can take your foundation with you anywhere to touch up…genius!

Does adding powder foundation make it get all lumpy???
