Flawless foundation

Hey guys!

I couldn’t find a topic for this already.

I have a wedding to attend in a few weeks and I need a good foundation. What are your favourite foundations for nights out/big events etc? Are there any that leave your skin looking amazing?

I use a mineral powder on a daily basis but when I go out I like to use a liquid that’s got a higher coverage. I have used Revlon Colorstay but I’m interested to see what other options there are.

Thanks!

I adore YSL’s Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation. It is just as important to ensure your face is primed and prepared. Before a special event I put on a thick layer of moisteriser 30 minutes prior to application. Then put a primer on for 10 minutes. Once you have selected your chosen foundation. I would also select the right tool for application some people prefer fingers, for longer lasting I suggest using a damp beauty blender (this depends on your foundation).

For weddings and occasions i recommend napoleon products as they last all day and night

    Thanks for all your suggestions!

I ended up wandering into a Myer and settled on a Lancome foundation, my first high end one. It gave me the result I wanted on the day, so very happy 🙂

Now I have a list of other foundations I want to try after researching peoples suggestions, so thank you 🙂

When I had pretty bad acne and scars and wanted to cover them all I used Revlon Colorstay for oily skin. That stuff stays on all day for me! Other than that I could only recommend a mattifying primer like the Australis Mattifying base (in the stick) or a good face powder like Rimmel Stay Matte.

    Hey,
I find it really hard to find a foundation that suits my oily skin type and covers my acne. After a couple of hours im left looking shiny and awful, can any one help? i dont have time to go out to the shops either so would rather buy online

    Thanks

Are you fair skinned as well by any chance? If so, highly recommend you try the Korean brand Skin79 Super BB Cream (Hot Pink)
    http://www.mybbcream.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=56

Coverage is medium and I recommend concealer for problem areas. It will do an ok job with mild redness and flaws though.

You can pick this up cheaper on eBay as well. I recommend sellers RubyRuby79 and Bellogirl (you won’t get fakes from these guys).

Stays on for at least 8 hours even on oily skin. I had no luck with so many foundations until I tried this. My skin used to “eat” makeup leaving me a shiny patchy mess. Yep, I even tried the much raved about Revlon ColorStay…

I really enjoy using L’Oreal true match or MAC studio fix for days where I need my face to stay in place all day!

l’ve been using the Loreal true match foundation and it’s wonderful! It looks as natural as skin and lasts a solid 9 hours (the longest I’ve worn it for) and it feels really comfortable and light 🙂

    Hi there.

Personally a good foundation to use which does leave your skin looking amazing is Chanel.
The price ranging at around $70 AUD however is perfect for a flawless look especially when attending a wedding or an event which has you running or dancing on your feet all day.

As I have oily skin I needed something that gives a nice finish and stays flawless throughout the day no matter how busy you might get So I use Chanel Mat Limiere in 42 Petale.
