Curling eyelashes.

As much as I try I cannot seem to get a good curl to my eyelashes! I use a curler and have tried different mascara but it doesn’t last. I’m curious as to what other peoples routine is for getting a good curl or what mascara they use?

same!! I have super straight Asian lashes but I finally found a way to get them curled and long and thick. First curl your lashes then go over them with one coat of waterproof mascara then after that I use my normal “volume, lengthening” mascara over that. Using waterproof mascara first really holds the curl well and I can use normal mascaras over the top and it still stays curled. I really like essence lash mania after the waterproof cause its cheap and it works.

Waterproof mascara holds curl better than regular mascara! So combining that with a curler is the best way I’ve found for m stubborn lashes 🙂

Thanks all for the tips! I’m now going to spend the extra time heating my curler and will do some research into different mascaras 🙂

Maybe a heated eyelash curler, i think nutrimetics and modelco make one, or heating up your eyelash curler with a hairdryer. I have found that certain mascara brushes curl a lot better, not dependant on the formula, like the rimmel sexy curves mascara brush and just use one of the sugested mascaras with the rimmel wand.

I use the shiseido eyelash curler and then a maybelline mascara. I’ve also heard really good things about the urban decay mascaras to hold a curl but haven’t been able to get my hands on one to try it out yet! 😉

I also use the Shiseido eyelash curler and it does a pretty good job on my lashes which are long but pretty straight. I have a few mascaras on rotation at the moment, but I am a big fan of the Clinique mascaras in general, and I also find that the Maybelline Full ‘N’ Soft mascara holds curl pretty well.

I have also started using the Mirenesse heated curler which I received in my Glosscars prize pack and so far I am really loving it!

A great way to keep them eyelashes curled is to grab some Lucas’ Paw Paw Ointment from the shops if you dont have it already and softly just rub it onto your eyelashes with a curling flick technique. It keeps them in shape. If you dont know what Lucas’ Paw Paw Ointment is then go to the forum of uses for it and you will find lots of great uses.

I hadn’t thought of mixing mascaras mummytutto! Thanks.
I have used my hairdryer before and found it helped. Whats a good waterproof mascara RockieHazel?
Those curlers sound amazing too guys 🙂

At the moment I’m liking Covergirl lash blast fusion. I’m also a huge fan of mascaras from this Japanese brand Fairydrops. For a more natural look I like Maybelline define a lash, all in the waterproof formulas of course

Ooh I’m going to have to check out the Koji curlers! I am using a Japanese brand that I bought at Mecca Cosmetica but I don’t feel as if it fits my eye shape. Does anyone use She Umura curler? Is it really the HG of curlers?
