Concealer for DARK, BAGGY Under-eyes

Hi everyone,

I need some help in finding the BEST concealer!

I have pretty dark under-eyes, which are also fairly baggy/puffy. I am yet to find a miracle concealer, though I have tried countless types!

If there is any one who has similar under-eyes, please let me know what concealer you’ve found that,
A) actually conceals (the irony)
B) is extremely LONG-LASTING
C) doesn’t CREASE.

Or perhaps if there’s a particular primer that will rectify these issues??
I’m currently using NYX dark eye concealer, which is pretty good but I find it creases terribly!

Thanks in advance!

I was in priceline yesterday and I tried on some of the Dermablend concealer underneath one of my eyes. I have to say I was impressed. I have dark circles but generally not bags. It gave good coverage and didn’t crease through out the day. It’s $$ though at $55, but I think the pot would last forever

My Go-To’s depending on what other makeup I’m wearing etc are Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit and Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Concealer. The latter sets more whereas the Bobbi Brown stays a bit creamy so given you mentioned it’s not just the colour it’s a skin texture issue the KVD may serve you better.

I did see you mention that there are budget considerations though so here’s what I take in my handbag. If I’m wearing Bobbi Brown my dupe to touch up with is Nyx. It’s a great creamy base, they’re super cheap and they come in correcting shades and concealing shades – it’s important to do both with dark eye circles if they’re quite bad. The NYX requires a bit more packing on and setting than the Bobbi Brown in my opinion.

For something more liquidy that sets I’d give Wake Me Up by Rimmel a try. Rimmels skin products always impress me more than Maybelline and Covergirl combined AND they’re cheaper to boot. Especially at the moment given they’re half price at Priceline!

Do you use an eye cream?

A cooling & hydrating one gently patted into the area can help reduce puffiness. A concealer will only cover darkness but not help with the baggy-ness.

I really like to use the Mecca Cosmetica To Save Eyes eye cream in the mornings. It has a metal roller ball which is cooling on puffiness and acts a bit like a massage to help decrease the puffiness. You could always try the old trick of cold metal spoons to decrease puffiness.

Concealer wise I am currently using one from By Terry which I am really liking but it is exxy.

I use the Napoleon Perdis The One Concealer and add my regular light coverage concealer over top, just make sure went you put “the one” on you warm it up with your fingers before applying the normal concealer to get better coverage. Some people can just use the concealer by itself (I have pale skin so I can’t).
