Best Primer for oily acne prone skin

Hi All,

are there any recommendations for primers to use for oily acne prone skin?

I currently have used the hourglass mineral primer and have just started trying the Napoleon Perdis primer but I still seem to get pretty oily a few hours after applying my make up… 🙁

help!!!

I’m currently using the L’Oreal Infallible 24hr Matte primer. I usually get a really oily t-zone but this one works for me 🙂

Maybe give Nude by Nature’s Airbrush Primer a go? It’s a mineral based primer. I couldn’t give you a comparison between a ‘normal’ primer and this one as I haven’t tried any others, but may be worth a go for you. 🙂

    Thanks Ladies, 🙂

I have not tried a cheaper brand of primers before as my skin is super sensitive, but I have heard a lot of good things about the nyx primer so I will def be giving that one a try… 🙂

Hi Stephanie13. I don’t use silicone primers in order to avoid break-outs. I have been using Clarins Beauty Flash Balm as an alternative and have found it great for my skin. I’m not sure how it would go on oily skin but it might be worth stopping by a Clarins counter for a sample so as you can see how it goes. You only need a small amount which you spread between your fingers and then pat over your face.

I have a similar sort of skin as well therefore ,I use the NYX shine killer primer as I have a massive tzone around my nose and chin area. It does manage to control the shine which radiates on my face otherwise.

Also, I recently brought Undercover Airbrush mineral primer by Nude by Nature it is the best primer I have used so far. I noticed there were no breakouts, my tzone was under control and overall it gives a smooth finish.
