6 Drugstore Concealers That We Keep Coming Back To

In an ideal world, a good night’s sleep and cleansing your face would be enough to prevent dark circles and breakouts. Sadly, this is not always the case. While we’re certainly not suggesting that your diligent sleep schedule and skin care routine are useless, we do understand that some extra help from a concealer is often, if not always, essential.

So, with the help of our members (who have taken to our bh forums to discuss the best drugstore concealers available), we’ve compiled a list of the most natural, hydrating, and illuminating concealers available at your local Priceline or Chemist Warehouse.

Maybelline New York FITme Concealer

We say: As the winner of not one, not two, but four Best In Beauty awards, Maybelline created this concealer as a follow-up to their bestselling FITme! Liquid Foundation. Just like the foundation’s formula, this concealer delivers a breathable, flawless and oil-free finish.

You say: “The formula is so light weight and coverage is top notch. No creasing and another plus is that it can act as a tinted moisturiser when mixing it with your favourite everyday cream for a minimalist day.” – ElleKay

$16, Woolworths

L’Oréal Paris True Match Concealer

We say: Yet again, this concealer proves that high quality does not have to be expensive. L’Oréal Paris True Match Concealer offers a creamy finish that brightens purple under-eye tones and all but erases redness and breakouts.

As bh’s Sezzie33 pointed out, this formula blends seamlessly when it is applied alongside the Manicare Complexion Sponge ($13.50, Manicare): “[it] has the perfect angle to get into the crevices of the eyes.”

You say: “This concealer is a great everyday product. It has a light texture and blends very easily whilst providing enough coverage to hide dark circles and redness.” – Ray

$16.49, Chemist Warehouse

NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Concealer Serum

We say: Talk about getting bang for your buck; the NYX Professional Makeup formula offers both a concealer and serum in one. Conceal and heal thanks to the hydrating, skin-loving formula which has been infused with cica, green tea and tremella mushroom.

$24.95, Priceline

Rimmel London Lasting Radiance Concealer

We say: This one’s for the full-coverage fanatics – it’ll correct and conceal pigmentation, scarring and discolouration. Plus, the addition of peptides and a unique vitamin complex leaves the skin looking even, illuminated and fresh.

You say: “This concealer gives me an awakened look and flawless skin. It is easy to blend into my skin with my finger. It is easy to apply this formula due to the wand applicator. Overall I love using this concealer to brighten my eye area” – BeautyBay1904

$17.95, Priceline

AUSTRALIS Bright Eyes Concealer

We say: The click-point pen and brush applicator are reminiscent of Touche Éclat, but for those on a budget, the price tag is nowhere near the YSL cult classic. The formula however? It delivers on all fronts.

$10, Priceline

Flower Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer

We say: In what we can only imagine has been inspired by Drew’s years in a makeup chair, this full-coverage concealer offers skin-blurring pigments and illuminating long-lasting coverage.

$9.99, Chemist Warehouse

  1. Rimmel multitasker concealer is the best I have ever used – covers my dark circles seamlessly and it’s great on blemishes too. Works better than both the Tarte and Estee Lauder concealers I have tried, for less than half the price.
