Best curl-holding mascara!

Searching high & low for a HG mascara that not only lengthens & thickens my thin, straight lashes, but also holds the curl all day long! Have tried a variety of drugstore & high-end brands, water-proof and washable, however few have prevailed. Help me please!

I too give Lancome Hypnose a big thumbs up, not just for their thickening formula, but for adding & giving my fairly straight lashes a decent curl that lasts. And it never smudges or clumps

Have you tried High Impact by Clinique – it’s a fantastic formula and I know they have a curling brush formula, which I’m yet to try. But the regular brush, like Lancome Hypnose, gives a fantastic result

Yeah, I’ve tried covergirl lash blast. Wasn’t for me :/ They’re real by benefit wasn’t too amazing for me either. They lengthened quite a bit, but I love volume & they’re real didn’t really cut it in that department for me.

Oh wow after this I’m going to have to try Lancome… so much consensus on it’s amazingness!

My favourite for curl is They’re Real by Benefit. Somedays I skip the curler all together but they obediently curl upwards on application and the formula dries quickly, setting them in place without a hint of the dreaded spider-lash.

When I’m too poor for Benefit (the struggle is real) my go-to is Covergirl which by the sounds of your post you’ve probably already tried.

Maybelline Illegal lengths in waterproof. Any waterproof mascara will hold better than the non-waterproof version. The illegal lengths has fibres in it. I have short/straight lashes too and it’s fab.

Thank you so much for your help, ladies! I’ve been hesitating to try Lancome since it is a tad pricey, but might actually splurge a bit and give it a try. I try to steer away from waterproof formulas as for some reason, it becomes a mission and a half for me to remove. Make-up remover, coconut oil, just doesn’t budge. At the moment, I’m applying one thin layer of Maybelline Falsies Waterproof, and 2 layers of regular Maybelline Falsies on top. Love Falsies for their lengthening and thickening of lashes. The one layer of waterproof helps hold the curl & is still able to be removed. But will definitely try your suggestions!

I have to recommend the Covergirl Lash Blast Volume (Waterproof). This is my holy grail mascara. It’s the best curl-holding mascara I’ve tried (Too Faced, Maybelline, essence, L’oreal, Japanese brands like Fairydrops and Kiss Me Heroine) and it’s volumising and smudge-proof even on my single eyelids. Not the best at lengthening but you can always layer it with another mascara over the top.

I second Lancome mascara recommendations above. I’ve been using Hypnose Drama recently and it’s great. Stays on all day long and makes my lashes look thick and luscious 🙂

I find all Lancôme mascara to be the best out of all of them hands down. Hypnose is my current fav. Always best to use a lash curler with a waterproof mascara so the curl holds. Max factor are doing some good mascara at the moment also… But Lancôme are the mascara leaders imo.

Have you tried any of the Lancome mascaras? They are really good! They have several different types but I found that their formula & brushes worked perfectly for me. I would also recommend Revlon Grow Luscious. Not as expensive as other brands and it gave me volume and length.
