I just purchased one from eBay which I keen to see if it works any better then my brushes
A damp sponge gives a lighter coverage though, so beware.

You’d be better off not wasting your money on it. They’re ripping you off, trust me. I got a few similar sponges off eBay… for less than $3 with free shipping. They’re basically the same thing.
Here are a few links to some people who sell them.

i like the manicare sponge but find they don’t last very long, they seem to be less dense than the other sponges I’ve seen around.
A sponge is still my go to for applying foundation and it just depends what day it is as to which one i pick up.

slightly off topic but can anyone comment on whether it compares to Manicares ‘Precision Beauty Sponge’ it looks quite similar and its purple, could be another one to try out…
I’ve never tried the beauty blender but I have the manicare sponge. I don’t really like it that much because it has that ‘spongy’ kind of smell. But if I think it’s good if you want a lighter covergae.
Oh yeah I think the spongy smell is the latex. But I’m not sure.

I have a Manicure one that’s very similar. I think they’re about $8. I use it every day and love the result.
