BB Cream help

Hi beauties,

lately I’m getting a bit frustrated with the inconsistency I’m getting in buying different batches of Revlon BB cream. When I get a good one, it’s a good creamy consistency and is one whole product. However, when I get what I feel is a dodgy batch, like the one I’ve got just recently, it’s a mess. The whole thing is separated, and no matter how much I shake the tube (and I can hear it sloshing about) it won’t come together. So I squeeze out an oily mess onto my palm and I have to mix it with my fingers. But, even still, it’s not quite the same. I am purchasing the product probably from a different shop each time, but that should be no excuse for inconsistency of a product. I’m not buying discounted, out of date stock, so it should be true to what it claims.
It’s frustrating because it’s not cheap (for me), but when I get a good batch it’s the best I’ve found for my skin so far. Decent coverage for a BB, SPF, and a good colour match.

So what I’d like to hear is if you’ve either had the same issue, or whether there’s a similar BB you would suggest that’s just as good if not better!

I usually use Garnier BB cream and most of the time am happy with it. It’s a light coverage and blurs what you want it to. Having said that I’m back to a light foundation because my skin has gone to cack. 🙁

I started to use BB cream very recently because i always used foundation before. I bought my first BB cream in Aldi for few dollars and I’m happy with it. I never knew that they are so many differences between brands

Not a fan of BB the coverage isn’t enough for me : I ‘d love to have perfect skin that just needs some BB over the top…..i have 2 in my cabinet to see if i could get the results everyone raves about but not for me unfortunatly

I recommend Garnier BB Cream, it is the first BB cream I have used so I don’t have anything to compare it too but I have never had any consistency problems that you are describing and there are options for people with sensitive skin & SPF protection.

Garnier ones are quite good except I would prefer it if they were fragrance free.

I’m not into BB creams because they don’t provide enough coverage for my broken capillaries. However, I tried Innoxa Skin Perfecting Foundation 5 in 1 BB Cream because its palest shade was a reasonable match for my pale skin, plus it has good reviews. Although the product didn’t work well for me, I still think that it’s worth you testing it in a store:

From my vague memory, I don’t think that it had an orange undertone on my skin.

Try the Maybelline Dream Pure or Dream Fresh BB creams.

The Dream Fresh is more of a dewy look and comes in 4 shades (light, fair, medium, medium deep) It would most suit dry skin.

The Dream Pure would suit oily or blemish prone skin and contains 2% salicylic acid. Dries to a semi-matte finish and comes in 2 shades (light & medium)

Both have SPF 15 and blend beautifully. 🙂

I use the Natio BB cream and I find it has quite good coverage and doesn’t leave my face with that sticky, heavy feeling some other BB creams do.

Try the Chi Chi Super BB Cream from Target. I am on my third or fourth tube of it. I like that it’s in a tube packaging as it’s great for travel.

It comes in two shades off memory. I buy the light and it blends beautifully into my dry/combination skin. I find a lot of BB creams are too orange for me but this one is perfect.

I use it most days for work and generally speaking, I don’t have to do any touch ups. I do use a primer underneath it though.

It’s light but you can layer it for more coverage if you need it.

I often get compliments on my skin and it’s usually when I’m wearing this.
