I thought it would be fun to know what everyone has finished and what everyone is throwing away!

I’ll start! I cleaned my shower today and found so many things to throw!

Dove Makeup remover: The foaming one. It is good but if you have sensitive skin it may be a bit harsh. I may repurchase it but not right away.

Lacto Calamine cucumber and yoghurt cleanser for dry skin. Love it! I think I should get some imported from home.

L’Oreal Vitamino colour shampoo. It is nice. I want to buy it but it a bit exy for me right now.

KMS Moisture Repair shampoo. Really good for dry hair. I prefer this over the L’Oreal one.

Villainess Body Scrub in Bourbon Vanilla: Yummy! I bought from Viallainess.net the shipping to Aus is ridiculous, so I got it shipped through a friend in a swap.

L’Oreal EverStrong shampoo: Thumbs down. Too much product build up.

Elvive deep conditioning treatment for coloured hair. Love it! I use it in place of regular conditioner. I’ll repurchase as soon as I can get to Priceline.

Dove Shampoo: This one has more than half left. I’m chucking it away because it is getting gross, I bought it when we moved in last year. yuck!

Every Man Jack Daily Conditioner: Hub bought it for himself but I finished it off. It has a nice peppermint freshness to it and it is so good for the hair. It is suphate/paraben/pthalate/colour/animal testing free!

So, what is everyone throwing away?

Oooh I like this thread. I’m trying really hard to use up my current products before buying or opening new ones.

Some products I have finished recently include:
- Pantene’s Night Miracle leave in serum
- Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate
- Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 14hr foundation
- Lancome Teint Miracle foundation.

I’ve already got backups of the Pantene and Genifique and plan to repurchase the Teint Miracle foundation.

We are working through a heap of stuff at our place atm as we are getting ready to move and don’t want to shift almost empty products! There are a few shampoo’s and conditioner’s and a couple of moisturisers.

I threw away a whole bag full of stuff last week….incl body lotions, creams, nail polishes, makeup….all way past their use by date, and should have been thrown away ages ago. That was my first round of cleaning out, im sure I have more to do in the following weeks….im so bad at throwing things away…..so next is my clothes…..

Nice to see products getting emptied all around! Whenever I finish something, I feel like I have justified the purchase, a sense of satisfaction! I can buy more without feeling very guilty :)

Cleaning and throwing away unwanted products is also therapeutic hehe :D

It does feel very satisfying when you’ve finished a product. I know I often find myself using a product for a few weeks, then getting tempted by another new products/samples and I don’t stick with it for long enough to see the results. I have hit pan on my Revlon blush and almost finished my fave Revlon Beyond Natural Protective Liptint SPF 15 in Rosy Rose so am quite happy about. I rarely ever finish a blush/lip product.

Great thread idea!

Over the past week:
1. Seriously Shine Free moisturiser by Formula 10.0.6
after a while I couldn’t stand the smell, it was pretty watery and thin, so it’s time to say goodbye.
2. Andrew Collinge shampoo – was a great shampoo, but my TIGI shampoo has taken over!
3. A few empty tubes of Baby Lips – definitely repurchasing.
4. Rimmel mascara – very reliable, used it up quickly.

So as a result, I’ve bought some new products that I’m keen to try :)

This week I finished up:
Palmer’s natural bronze gradual tanning moisturiser – already repurchased, I love this it looks natural and smells yummy.
Palmer’s night renewal cream – likely to repurchase as it is so affordable and works well
Vaseline cocoa butter lotion – definately will repurchase but hoping to find it on special in the next week or two.

I just threw out 5 or 6 mascaras, different brands of course. Just couldn’t finish them and they were pretty old so they all went in the bin :)
About 2 weeks ago I went through my stuff and threw out about a supermarket green bag worth of stuff and another bag was put aside with products I will never use so they’re all going to my mum!
Felt very good after that :)

I am just about/have finished some products which I am very excited about as this means time to open new products! These include:

- Lancome Exfoliant Fraichelle body scrub
- Dove Nutri Oil (going to use Organix Moroccanoil next)
- Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion
- Jill Stuart Softening Face Fluid (3rd bottle!)
- Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal shampoo/conditioner

I love this new thread DG!!!!

I did a major throw out/give away recently. Next time I do that I’ll put up some pics in this thread. I tend to give away stuff I don’t like rather than continue using it. Or if it’s a shampoo I don’t like I may use it as a hand wash. Or a face moisturiser I don’t like, I use them as hand creams.

Oooo, I LOVE finishing a product!

So these are the things I’ve emptied/chucked lately:
- An Australis mascara
- My Dove Moisturising shampoo and conditioner (note to self; buy more conditioner, it is FAB)
- A Maybelline lip gloss that’s half finished but kind of old
- A gazillion eyeliners

I’m thinking of chucking my new Tousle Me Softly Herbal Essences conditioner, it’s not doing a thing for my hair. :( I bought it after my Dove ran out in the hopes of getting a miracle, but I was getting more miracles with the Herbal Essences shampoo and Dove conditioner. It’s a HUGE waste of money though and I don’t want to make Mum angry cos she bought it. D’: May give to the sister.

Wow DG, thats a huge clean out. Great work! I’m having trouble with the dove cleanser on my sensitive skin agree its not great for sensitives) Just finished my Triple Moisturising Deeply Nourishing Body Wash (really nice one), some disposable shavers and Aveeno face wash.Yay, going to use Aum cleanser next to try it out :) As for throwing out I only throw if its finished or past use by date. I prefer to multitask items. If i don;t like a face moisturiser i use it on my neck instead or body. Just can’t bring myself to waste things.

Though I’m not so keen on the coconut scent, the oil is not bad. I have been using it daily, applying it morning and night and I do feel like my hair is a little more nourished and not as dry at the ends. I do blow dry and straighten my hair everyday so the oil kind of acts like a heat protectant for me. I probably wouldn’t repurchase for the moment as I have the Organix Moroccan Argan oil which I want to try next. I would definitely recommend the Dove for those wanting an affordable oil treatment but for me, I would rather pay a bit more for something that smells nicer as scent is pretty important to me when it comes to beauty products.

Thanks for letting me know. I’m a lover of coconut smells so this will be perfect for me. Do you like citrus or fruity smells? The silk oil of morocco one smells fruity. Its a smell like no other. I actually smelled it on a girls hair at uni and knew straight away. PS, I didn’t sniff her hair, it just traveled in the air :P

Not that I need more hair oils but I can’t get enough of them.

The Australis ready set go powder doesnt work for me???
Im a serial chucker, if it doesnt work for me, in the bin it goes.
Recent chuck………Dove hair oil & Garnier’s new sensitive foaming cleanser ( doesnt clean, leaves residue).

Is there know one that you can give them too? My mum actually takes my unused products to work with her sometimes. Strangely enough people want them.

Well, hey, if it’s new and practically unused, I wouldn’t mind taking it! I always give my friends products that don’t really work like mascara or a foundation I recently gave away cos it was the wrong shade.
