Anyone heard about this Red Meow? Did they morph into one of the existing companies?

I know this is completely different but, you can get a good variety of samples/full sized prodz in the current DJs tote bag for $20 and the contents are worth over $140.

DJ’s tote? how/where do i get my hands on this?

Hi JJsomerville, just purchase any beauty product from David Jones and you are qualified to purchase the goody bag for $20. Here’s the link with more info:

Yeah I have to say that Beauty Box appealed to me more.

Anyone wondering I guess they take the money out before they send it because I haven’t been charged yet. (hate it when companies do that but eh oh well).

I also think its weird that bella box put all those logo’s up then put a disclaimer saying “*These are an indication of the partners who we could work with.”
Plus I keep getting spam dm’s from them on twitter for the past few days, which I find irritating lol!

Oh an with only what was it 250 boxes ordered that’s not a lot. I was expecting it to be at least a 1000. I know its likely to grow but to be honest that’s not a lot of money going in. (actually I wonder if the brands associated also pay a fee for their samples to be included?)

I like the variety of so many, that way I can pick and choose each month bth I don’t see many of them lasting very long.

I think Beauty Box has a great variety of luxury brands and the samples would probably be worth more than other services.

@MML, I agree with beautystar, that the 2nd round would be the same as the 1st round. I doubt the number of subsribers to these services in Australia would be even close to the number of subsribers of Birchbox or Glosssybox etc…

I think Lusthaveit have excess boxes, which is probably why they are still accepting August subscribers.

If these services in Australia cost $10 rather than $15, I’m sure the price would attract a lot of people to join.

at $10 per month for a year it costs $120 but at $15 per year it costs $180.

does anyone think it’s really worth paying $15 for 5 or so samples??

Yeah Lust have it definitely have excess boxes. I was only order 220ish and I ordered after the first lot of boxes were sent out. It would be nice if they were only $10 but I think with how much it costs for shipping within Australia that’s probably the price it has to be unless you only was 2 or 3 samples instead of the 5 or 6.

The first Lust Have It box is worth over $80, and there’s some items in there which i’ve actually wanted to try for ages but couldn’t bring myself the pay the money for so for me, it is worth. Beauty Box on the other hand I probably wouldn’t be too happy with but that’s why we have choice. Not everyone is going to want Lust have it either.

I passed off the DJ’s tote bag before but now i’m thinking of getting it – I dunno. How does the “get this OR this OR this” thing work? Do you get to choose or is it just luck of the draw?

On the other hand, places like Birchbox send you items out based on your profile which none of the Aus versions have set up yet.

Beauty box has it Hun. When I signed up they asked me about my skin and hair and what products would I prefer.

Ah, ok. I haven’t checked out BeautyBox yet, aside from their brands page (which doesn’t really appeal to me yet). I was looking into whats in the Birchbox boxes and it seems like they must have an option if you prefer natural products because some people kept getting more natural brands while others got different stuff. I hope one of the companies does something like that in the future.

I might sign up to or even switch to BeautyBox in the future but at the moment they seem more makeup focussed which isn’t my thing.
