Thoughts ladies on the best eyebrow grooming technique….
DO you wax, pluck, or have threading done??? What do you think gives the most polished well groomed effect???
I pluck the strays, one of the only lucky beauty perks I have is a nice natural shape. I try not to go too overboard and just pluck the outliers. Too nervous to do threading or waxing, once false move with wax and it’s all over. Good to know now that it damages the skin too! Do you know if the same goes for the bikini line?
I would recommend tweezing or threading over waxing –
Waxing, overtime can cause irrevocable damage to the delicate under-brow area.
And no I doesn’t matter if the wax being used is gentle & organic etc. because its not the product itself that causes damage but the motion of applying a hot/warm substance to the skin and then ripping it off. It can & will overtime cause the skin to lose its elasticity and volume- being in the beauty industry I’ve seen it so many times.
tweezing to me is the best thing, as your only pulling one individual hair at a time, causing little to no damage.
I get mine threaded & I like the results. Sure, it still hurts for me, but I prefer it over waxing because I feel you get more of a precise result. Sometimes they’ll trim mine a bit because they can get long, but it depends on who’s working on me really.
I’ve always plucked, but my eyebrow shape has always been fairly even. I’ve seen some people with difficult shaped eyebrows, that’s when you need to see a professional.
(I trim mine a tiny bit too. If I let them go, they get “prime ministerial”)
I go to a salon to wax and tint which I think gives a great polished look to the whole face. Just recently I have been considering threading but I don’t know if it would keep my eyebrows looking full and luscious the way I like them lol they all seem a little severe..? I would love to hear from anyone who has been threading and what they think of it?
