Lipstick Problem

Hey Ladies,

Just found this forum….. wow!

So a weird problem, which I thought I was imagining for quite a while.

Every time I put lipstick on, within ten minutes it will darken.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I had this happen today actually – so weird. Totally out of the blue with a Face of Australia nude colour, went bright cool pink through the day. I was wearing coral so looked horrendous.

I suggest some higher quality lipstick. Try looking through the Designer Lipsticks from MAC, Tom Ford, Bobby Brown, Burberry and more here… http://www.survey-ace.com/designer/beauty.html

It is due to the ph levels in your skin as to why the colour changes.Try a lighter shade and also apply concealer or foundation to your lips, a lip liner and then the lipstick.

Yeah I did that and it worked.

it depends on the lipstick. maybe put a bit of your foundation on your lips first because your natural lip colour may be changing it. or after you put on your lipstick use a very light lipstick to cool it down.

I don’t know that I’ve had that problem, but I agree with TheUglyDucking, it could be the brand you’re using, or the formula of the product itself. I think I’ve noticed maybe some slight change in colour when applying some drugstore lipsticks, but I’ve largely chalked that up to it being the effect of my natural lip colour. Could that be a possibility?

    Heya,

They’re relatively new (only a couple of months old) so not sure that’s the problem. Very strange really…. I’m thinking it’s an allergic reaction of some sort?

I think next step is seeing a dermatalogist…

Thought someone on here might have had the same experience :o)

I guess it depends on the type of lipstick you are using and also, how old is the lipstick you’re applying?
