Humidity and makeup

Ladies, would love your tips on how to keep makeup looking good in humid weather. I tend to wilt in humidity and so does my makeup. So I tend to wear very little makeup. What do you do and which products best survive the humidity? xo

I go to Fiji most years, which is super humid, and I’ve found the best thing (the locals do this too) is dusting powder over your makeup. It stops your face from sweating and melting all of your makeup off!
They use talcum powder…I just stick to regular face powder :p

Can anyone tell me how much this ‘face saver’ product is & how it works? I wear minimal make up to work, but still seem to break out in the face sweats! Haha much appreciated (: x

    Good question, Jasibella.
The posts above are from 2010, but I got excited when I read about it too. I did an online search & it’s available from Chemist Warehouse & other places. There were two different looking packs, one of them might be old. I’m interested to try too.

Let us know how it goes Serena, keen to hear from more people who have used the 3B 🙂

I live in Central Queensland and in summer there isn’t even really a point to wearing makeup. By the time you’ve finished applying it has started to sweat off. I really hate it. I’ve just bought the 3B Face Saver but haven’t tried it yet. Does anyone know whether you still put moisturiser on before applying the Face Saver?? Just a bit worried about all the layers going on my face (moisturiser, Face Saver, primer, foundation etc) because I have really sensitive, oily skin thats prone to breakouts especially in summer. I’m not a fan of tinted moisturisers because they tend to aggravate my skin and cause massive breakouts

I sweat heaps too in Summer, the humidy and me do not get along. I get annoyed because I spend time and effort on my makeup and then 5 mins out in the heat and it’s all sweating off. So I tend to mix a mousse highlighting primer in with my moisturiser and spreading it over my face. Then after a couple of mins, I brush over a setting powder. I don’t look like I’ve got makeup on but my face does look nice, even, natural and healthy, which is alot better then running makeup.

Yeah the L’oreal is a steal compared to the Clarins that I was using, might have to change, only a few small differences, but the more I use it the more I am liking it 🙂

Primer! I sweat a LOT (like looks like i’ve been out in the rain sweat), and went to G’s christmas party last night, Through rain, sweat, and lots of dabbing of my face with tissues, I still had foundation on at the end of the night. I’m trialling one for another beauty website atm, and i’m a convert, really helps me!

    What primer is it BG??

The L’oreal smoothing one? Can’t think of the name off the top of my head. Can never afford to buy it myself but will buy a cheaper primer lol. The L’oreal one is really good though!

Ah yes must be from Bella, I submitted a review for that on Friday, it was my first trial on that site, and I have been a member for yonks, lol, they don’t have a trial team as such though, anyone gets a go. I had that primer already from the Glosscars and it is nearly identical to my beloved Clarins one, and it is a great buy at only a fraction of the price 🙂

    Hi Ladies

I live in north queensland where it is VERY humid. I recently found a great product from NEAT 3B called ‘Face Saver’. Its a facial antiperspirant. I purchased it from Priceline pharmacy. I put this on before my make up and it stays put all day and also stops your make up melting off. Can highly recommend this!

I always wondered what those were like, keen to try it now!
