Help! I SAT ON MY HAIR STRAIGHTNER

A couple of days ago I put my hair straightener down on the chair and forgot about it and accidently sat on it . I know I sound absolutely stupid but trust me it’s easy to do. It was horrific and now I have two massive burn marks on my butt. Does anyone know any treatments to reduce or stop scars and help heal the skin quicker???

I feel for you but had to giggle – been there done that. Too late to give you any suggestions for the burn but hows about making sure you have one like my G3 Salon Pro which has an automatic cutoff after 1 hour! Also make sure you DO NOT PICK THE SCAB, apply as much lanolin to the burn as possible.

Recently burnt my hand on hot oven wrack! I have been using jojoba oil and the burn mark seems to be very slowly fading.

Omg! Ouch! I’ve burnt myself so many times with a straightener! I actually picked up my straightener once by the irons, dropped it in shock and pain and it fully landed right on my leg. I used antibacterial cream it seemed to work well 😊

Ouch :/ I would Aloe Vera straight from the plant to soothe and hydrate the skin & Bio Oil -great for scars.

*aussiebabes* I hope your bum is feeling better. Just make sure it doesn’t get infected, as burns often do.

I’ve gotta ask though……did the straightener survive the ordeal?

hahahaa yes, I only sat on it for a split second until I felt the heat

I want to suggest Bio Oil too. Make sure you clean and moisturise it everyday and any scarring will eventually fade and maybe even disappear. I like to think of scars as signs that we have lived so if you still have marks after a decent time at least you’ll have a “funny” story to go with it 😉

yeah haha I was thinking the same thing!
