Good, light coverage foundation without SPF?

I have really clear skin that doesn’t need a lot of coverage, however I’m struggling to find a lighter coverage liquid foundation with good lasting power that doesn’t contain SPF.
I’ve tried Smashbox Halo and Studio Skin before, but they’re a little pricey for my student budget.
Drug store brands would be great, however I’ll still check it out if in the <$50 price range 🙂

EDIT: I probably should’ve stated this before, but I need it for flash photography and dance shoots (they tend to get a little sweaty, hence why I need the lasting power), so I can’t have SPF, thus BB creams are out entirely. However, it there’s a good foundation that contains SPF that won’t cause a white flashback, please tell me!

I like the Napoleon Memory Set Foundation, I have very fair skin and I don’t like to wear SPF in my foundation.

This one has great staying powder and after wearing it running around at sport it didn’t budge.

It is a tinted moisturiser more than a foundation but I find it gives great coverage.

I was so impressed I went and purchased two more tubes.

I have found if Ben Nye doesn’t suit your skin, it really doesn’t suit your skin. I’m lucky in the sense I can wear it but not everyone can (i.e. if your skin is particularly porous, it will really show). Just an FYI.

You can also checkout Maybelline New York Fit Me Oil-Free Stick Foundation – It does not contain SPF and has natural coverage that leaves skin fresh, breathing and natural. It also contains an exclusive translucent base and lightweight pigments and allows skin’s natural highs and lows to show through.

I know Maybelline 24hr liquid foundation do not have SPF. I decided to use another brand after so many years because I have freckles/ sun spots developing on my cheeks so I thought better use one with it . Try that one .

As soon as I saw this post, I thought of MUFE HD foundation. Full bottle is pricey (in the $60 range) but you can order samples (for $10 postage) to find your shade match online at Media Makeup. Sample pots are generous and will be enough for many applications.

Other than that Ben Nye HD cream foundation is also great. Ben Nye has a lot of other MUA foundations that are definitely worth exploring and won’t hurt your pocket!

As misfortune said, mineral powders are good. They are light and can easily build coverage. But these days the majority of foundations and powders have got SPF in them.

But why don’t you want SPF in it. Most of us look for products with it!

I like mineral powders, they naturally contain SPF.

Why do you specifically want no SPF?

bb creams are definitely better for a light coverage and they are so easy to apply, I have the Maybelline and Garnier and I love both so definitely check them out!

agreed, definitely look into a bb cream – they’re light coverage which you can build up as you please , contain spf and have a number of properties. use maybelline or rimmel – under $10 too! i found the maybelline to be the best . you really don’t need to splurge on foundation in my opinion

Maybe look into BB creams instead of foundation!? It’s way lighter
