Gel Liners: Mac, Bobbi Brown or Nars?

Thoughts on these? I’m thinking of getting it as my eye lids are so oily and my liner always smudges down at the bottom of my eye (it’s not the mascara because I barely wear that since my lashes are stubborn and don’t show either way). The maybelline gel liner is no good for me sadly so am thinking of getting one of these. Which one would be the best, even without a primer (am yet to a find a really good one). & does not dry out fast? Thanks in advance.

I’ve tried the MAC but I actually loved the Napoleon gel eyeliner, really easy to apply and great staying power 🙂

I have only tried the Bobbi Brown one and I loved it! It went on great and it stayed on all day 🙂

I love gel liners… great choice!

I can’t comment on the Nars but I’ve used the MAC and the Bobbi Brown a lot. Especially for a beginner I would definitely recommend Bobbi Brown. It’s more of a creamy consistency so it doesn’t go anywhere you don’t want it. They also don’t dry out very quickly. I had one that I accidentally didn’t do the lid up very tightly on and left it a few weeks, that one dried out a bit but I used a makeup pad to wipe off the dried out layer and the rest was great. I also find the colour range gorgeous, so many subtleties of black, grey and brown.

The MAC fluid line is more liquid-y to apply, dries out quicker and I don’t buy it anymore unless I’m looking for a bright colour that doesn’t exist in the Bobbi Brown range.

I would say they equally wear well and no need to prime with either.

Just in case they recommend it at Mecca – the Stila smudge pots are super beautiful but they dry out unbelievably quickly. Definitely do not recommend!
