Foundation colour

Hey ladies,
I have another request for you guys. I am a very light skinned person and I find it so hard to find foundations that aren’t too dark or orange on me. Any recommendations?
Thank you x

I am pretty pale dependent on the day and I find that a lot of the light/fair shade bb creams (such as the garnier or clinique one) work really well and theyre pretty good for coverage

I just remembered another budget foundation from Priceline: Models Prefer Infinite Colour Foundation. This range has some great pale shades. Unfortunately, the formula didn’t work for my dry skin:

I have pale skin and most budget foundations are too dark for me. I’ve just found a good colour match with Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 HR Nude Foundation in their palest shade (I think that it’s called Ivory). I like this foundation because it seems to be more neutral than other Rimmel foundations. I’ve also just bought L’oreal True Match in their palest warm tone shade and it seems to be a good match. Having said that, I haven’t had a chance to check these foundations outside in full sunlight – sometimes when I do this, I can see that a foundation is a bit too orange for me.

I found a close colour match with Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick in Alabaster, but the formula didn’t work with my dry skin. I’m going to try some of her other foundation formulas.

I’ve been to Mecca and I tried NARS Sheer Glow and I was wanting to get the palest shade Siberia, but the sales assistant was steering me towards another shade. She only tested the foundation on my jawline and not on my neck. I don’t live near a Mecca store, so I will be emailing them soon to ask for some samples of their NARS foundations, and some from other brands.

I have been using a fantastic product to lighten foundations. It is Face Atelier Ultra Foundation in the shade Zero Minus. I have used this to lighten any foundation that’s been too dark and it has worked well with all of them. You buy can it from professional makeup stores in Australia (do a Google search to find it) and I think Beauty Bay in the UK. Illamasqua also sells a whitening foundation product.

I too have fair skin and I just trialled Burt’s Bee BB Cream. Very impressive skin colour match. Actually the best I have EVER found. See if you can sample it in-store Tayla_95

I would suggest Chi Chi fabulous and flawless foundation. It’s one of the few drugstore liquid foundations catering to yellow and pink undertones, as well as very fair to darker skintones.

Normally they are AUD29.95 but you can find sales quite often. I think it’s a good price for a Made in Italy product. It’s one of my favourites as it matches my skintone perfectly

Just go into Mecca Maxima and they’ll recommend a foundation for you and test the colours. I love the Bobbi brown skin foundation!

A really good drugstore option could be the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation! It has a great coverage and comes in heaps of different shades. You can even match it with their other Fit Me products like their Pressed Powders.

If you’re looking for something affordable, try Priceline! If you go in store and ask the experts to help you match foundations with your shade it should be easier to find the right one! 🙂
