I’m liking Australis Eyeshadow Primer – it really works in keeping your eyelids and lower eye area dry – so far I’ve used it with eye pencil and gel eyeliner and about 99% smudging that I experience sans primer is gone.

Maybe give the primer a try?

Ive head you can get a tssue and lightly dab your waterline (if thats where your applying) to dry up any moisture which will make your eyeliner last loner and not run off.

I suggest buying a new smudgeproof eyeliner. Maybelline Eye Studio has some great long lasting ones in different forms like gels and pencils. And please don’t hairspray your precious eyes! :s

Goodness me, please do not spray hairspray on your eyes!! That sounds as though it could be rather painfull!!! And I’m guessing most hairspray bottles will say avoid contact with eyes…

The Australis pencil eyeliner actually lasts on you a couple of hours?
    Mine creases within 30 minutes!

Unfortunately, there’s only so much you can do with a smudgy eyeliner!

    Buy a new one! 🙂

try giving your eyes a very light spray of hair spray after you apply the eye liner, you really should use a makeup setting spray, but you mentioned that you don’t want to buy anything and most people have hair spray in their cupboard. close your eyes when you spray and just leave them shut for a moment until the hair spray dries.
    Good luck 🙂 http://www.dollfacesylvania.com

I don’t recommend this! I’ve read some horror stories about what can happen when doing this and I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s cheaper to chuck it out and get a new one that to have reconstructive surgery done to your face

yeah sounds real dodge to me!

Eyelid primer should help keep it on. I like Bare Escentuals. If you don’t have any primer try applying your foundation then powder to your lids. THEN do your eyemakeup. See how it goes.

Some eyeliners are just rubbish though! You might need to chuck it and get something else. I really like Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel eyeliner.

i’ve got oily lids and all i do is not use any kind of cream on the eye area, applying eyelid primer and then setting the liner with the shadow really does the trick. if i’m using a liquid liner i don’t even have to do that because it sets so well by itself. My favorite one is Rimmel glam eyes (i think? or professional) liquid liner or theres always gel liners like Bobbi brown which is super expensive but awesome and also I’ve heard that the Maybelline one is supposed to be really good and not budge all day!
