Eyelash extensions

Hiya beauties.

I’m planning on getting eyelash extensions and was wondering if you have any recommendations for a reputable salon or beautician in Syndey who does amazing lashes?

This is my first time so I don’t know what to expect. I’ve been Googling and researching a lot before I go ahead with it (obviously I don’t want mishaps or something to go wrong… an infection being the worst case scenario!).

I’m not so concerned about price- I want quality.

What’s your personal experience?
Any tips or recommendations would be helpful.

I’ve done the at home ones by Ardell – they’re awesome but defintely take the hang of to apply. It is a bit annoying that the fall out at different times though which is defintely noticeable.

I think they are amazing for the first couple of days and then they can get matted and look really tacky.
I have had them done a few times by different people thinking that the application may have been the problem, but nope, they are just not a great fit.
I also suggest just finding a really good mascara. Of course it’s up to you if you want to give them a go but just be careful because you don’t want to spend $200 when you will have the same/pretty similar results for less. Like I said they are great for a few days but it’s a lot of money for a few days. Let us know how you go 🙂

I have them for a while but they wrecked my natural lashes because of the extra pressure on the hair follicle – it can damage the hair folicle permanently, like always wearing hair extensions or over plucking brows. I use half strip lashes (301 ardel?) if I need oomph, otherwise I just use a kiss a** mascara like the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volume (a mouthful I know).

It’s fun for a bit but soo time consuming and expensive.
