Best Nightcream?

hey All,

Looking for a really good (but affordable) night cream. I have tried that seaweed one which was ok, and I currently using the Palmers one which smells awesome – any recommendations? Want one which makes you feel like you’ve just woken up from a facial!

Thanks!

I use Monsia’s Intense Night Repair Cream. My skin loves it, it contains Shea Butter, Hyaluronic Acid, collagen, Emu oil, glycerin and Aloe Vera. It makes my skin feel very smooth and it is not greasy at all. My friends are totally amazed at the change in my skin to what it was 6 months ago.

I got some jojoba oil and I have been using a couple of drops on my neck and under my eyes. It certainly hasn’t harmed the area and the few lines I had under my eyes seem to be “filling” or tightening. My husband noticed it, not me, but I honestly think it is the night cream rather than the additional jojoba oil.

This is an amazing moisturiser. My skin had a reaction to something and went super dry and flaky. I exfoliated, used heaps of moisturisers and nothing worked. But I got this from Priceline for only $5 and it instantly moisturised my face and make it good as new. I definitely recommend!

I just use a few drops of vitamin a or retinol serum mixed in with ester lauder advanced night repair its all I need. The vitamin a is awesome makes my skin glow. I would recommend you do this. Vitamin a all the way.
It depends on your skin mine is combo.
If you have dry skin I would incorporate something with ahas as well and hydrating ingredients.
I recommend people for plants night cream. I use this in winter its amazing. I have also heard that akin is good. Dr Lewinns is good too

I like the Grown night cream, it’s pretty thick, natural and Australian made. It’s a violet leaf extract and I have no idea what that’s supposed to do, but I like how rich it is and I only need a little bit and it seems to moisturise my skin well. Great smelling too.

It is a bit expensive compared to the others, I bought it on a very good sale at Priceline. But their website often has specials, and especially during Christmas time. Sorry, that’s no help at this time of the year though.

I love his range too, smells lovely.

for a few months i was using dr.lewins night moisturiser, it has a rich creamy texture that you dont need to apply alot even though it some what felt heavier than other creams i used, the next morning made up for it as my skin felt deeply nourished and softer. but lately ive turned to rose hip oil and tea tree oil for my night time, the rose hip is not to oily but the morning after my skin feels so amazingly soft, my skin texture and lines are visibly clearer and works well for around the eye area. its such a cheap item and organic and i dont see why i would ever use anything else. give rose hip oil a go, your skin wont regret it.

The only thing I keep going back to is actually Trilogy’s rosehip oil. I either use it by itself or under another night cream if my skin’s a little dry.

As for feeling like you’ve woken up from a facial, the best thing for that is a leave on mask. My absolute favourite is the glamglow thirstymud, I really wish it was cheaper. I also like the body shop vitamin E mask and the Origins drink up intense. Even those these can be a little more expensive, I don’t use them every night. I use the most in the winter, but even then it’s still only a few times a week

I really like the Invite Vitamin E cream for night time; it’s super moisturizing and it has a teeny hint of an apple fragrance. It’s a bit on the oily side but it definitely still has a creamy texture so that’s why I wouldn’t use it in the daytime (don’t want my makeup to slide off by midmorning!). I think it costs less than $20 for a large tub.

If I’m not using the Invite cream, I slather on the Swisse Argan face oil at night as well and my skin is happily hydrated.

When it comes to night cream I always remember that Paula Begoun quote, “skin can’t tell time”. I just use a cream that’s compatible with my skin overnight, whether or not it’s labelled as a night cream.

You know, I was thinking along the same lines recently. I have a day cream that I absolutely adore that’s super moisturising (NUXE Crème Prodigieuse Enrichie) and I’ve been tempted to use it as a night cream as well. I think if I don’t find one I love that this is what I’ll be doing.

If I were you I’d absolutely be doing that mayday. As long as it doesn’t contain sunscreen there’s no reason whatsoever not to.
