Best foundation setting powder?

Hey BH! I was wondering what brands produce good quality setting powder. I use estee lauder double wear in bronze 5W1 and i want a powder (preferably drugstore brand) that will set my makeup without making it looked “packed on”. the brands that ive tried make my face look cakey and unnatural… any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

I find that the best ‘drugstore’ power is the Fit Me by Maybelline it comes in all shades so there will defs be shade for you and it doesn’t go cakey. It looks really natural but still gives heaps of coverage.

My holy grail drugstore powder is definitely ‘Australis Fresh and flawless’. I have tried many powders but nothing comes close. However if you are looking for a translucent powder i would go for ‘Australis loose translucent powder’ as for its just as good as a product!

As a few other beauties have mentioned, Rimmel’s Stay Matte powder is amazing. The packaging is a bit shit but the quality of product is fail safe. I use the translucent shade over my drugstore and my fancy foundations and have never once gone cakey. I think it is also good if you do tend to go a bit shiny, it is excellent at combating that and I might powder touch up once a day if I am getting too shiny.

Hi Jennifer145. I’ve been using the Natio loose translucent powder for a while now and I think it’s great. Lasts for ages, is inexpensive and doesn’t look cakey or heavy.

Agreed. I love Natio’s Translucent Loose Powder too. Fantastic, affordable and will last you ages.
It has great reviews on bh also 🙂

I love the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder even though the packaging is flimsy! I have it in the shade Translucent so it doesnt interfere with my foundation 🙂

I personnally use Napoleon Set Pressed powder (which you can now get from Target or Big W). You can change the intensity of the finish by using a powder brush, or using the pad to apply. It can be a little pricey compared to other, but it is a great look and it lasts all day.
