BEST ESSENCE PRODUCTS?

I’ve been wanting to try out essence and was wondering what their best products were? Thanks!

I’ve personally found all their eyeshadow quads to be great as well as their single shadows 🙂 Their lipsticks are also decent.

I love their mascaras – especially the ‘Get BIG!’ one 🙂 highly recommend it. And it’s so affordable too!

Essence products in general are very affordable in comparison to other drugstore brand and in terms of quality the formulas for most products are long lasting . I would recommend the essence lip liners and the matte touch blush both products are my personal faves!

I have tried a few different Essence products. For the price point, Essence have exceptionally high quality products (in my experience). Their blushes I find are wonderful- silky, finely milled, highly pigmented, and a great colour selection. The eyeshadows are a hit and miss, depending on the formula and colour- definitely swatch in store, and that should give you an idea of which ones to purchased. I love love love their lipsticks- a very creamy, moisturising formula, however not terribly long lasting. They do have quite a strong (but not obnoxious) sweet scent, but its not unbearable, just a bit sugary smelling. I recommend you go to Target and have a good look, and swatch the colours of everything you like- you might find some really inexpensive products to love!

I really like their summer bronzer, smells like coconut and the quality is actually really good.

The Essence quick dry drops were my holy-grail product (sadly they are discontinued), I did stockpile them when I found out they were discontinued. They are just as good as, if not better, than the Essie/Sally Hansen quick dry drops. I like their nail polishes too.

I found their mono eyeshadows pretty crappy, poor pigmentation, rock hard, etc, just rubbish. I tried their mechanical eyeliner, which is crappy too. Since I’ve had more misses than hits, I tend to stay away from Essence now.

Plus I hate the fact that their products are not sealed, it’s a person pet peeve, some Priceline stores are better than the other, where they would seal those Essence products with sticky tape, but that’s not always the case. I would hate to buy their products, which could have been tampered with by random strangers, and potentially catch cold sores, conjunctivitis etc.

I haven’t purchased any Essence products for years so can’t really provide specific product names, but I’ve generally found their eyeliners and mascaras to be pretty great quality. They’re also highly affordable and generally < then $5. They also used to have a really cheap and amazing eye primer, but I don’t know if they still make it as I never really see it in stock at my Priceline. It was probably among the best eye primers I have purchased.
I was pretty unimpressed with their nail polishes. Albeit you do only pay a couple of dollars but they still chip pretty quickly and require quiet a few coats.

Their lipliners are amazing quality. I also love their clear brow and lash gel. Their eyeshadows can be a bit hit and miss as beauty_addict said, so if you’re going to buy them then buy them during Priceline’s 40% off sale so you can get them extra cheap.

I tried out two single eye shadows which were on clearance. One is really hard and doesn’t blend or apply well and the other one is fairly soft and applies well. So definetly swatch if you can before you buy. Essence is so cheap if you like the look of something I think its always worth a try – it could save you a small fortune. I will admit to having more miss than hit with the brand although I do have a few good special effect nail polishes from them. Have heard good things about their oil blotting papers too (can’t recall the exact name).
