Beauty Addiction???

I really, really want to join you on the ban but I’m not sure yet that I could actually resist. I really need to. My bank account just cannot afford my beauty spending and things are only going to get worse this year. HELP!!!

Count me in. I will be working through my samples and doing sampled out 2016. I made a thread for it if anyone wants to join me.

I’m not looking at my spending ban 2016 as a bad thing but more like I’m taking the time to fully enjoy the products I have and making the most of it without distractions 🙂

I was on spending ban for 2 years (2012-2014) and I loved it. Everything in my makeup collection got throughly used yet I still have a ton of stuff left.

This year I’ve subbed to a couple of beauty boxes and have updated my lip products, nail polish and mascaras. Still good on powder products!

I’m looking for my 2016 ban. Going to make the most of everything and won’t repurchase until I’m almost out it.

I also think I need some straight talk and discipline. Like if posted here, that I saw a great bargain on Eve Lom, I need someone to say, “woman, get real! You don’t anything else, use up all the cleansers and face washes you’ve got first!!!! Stop wasting money!!!”

No more nice talk, I’m going to psych myself up to be tough and face reality!

I’ve placed an order with Mecca as a last goodbye and then THAT’S IT! I’ll renew my sub to The Parcel but then it’s nothing else unless I genuinely run out of something.

I went through my stash found my oldest items (some were past it) and am working on those. I have been doing well in the last week or so but did cave on a chi chi liquid lipstick pack that was 30% off. Sigh.

I’m not consciously aware of being stressed over Christmas, I’m actually super excited about seeing some family I haven’t seen for years, but we have just had a bunch of unexpected expenses and that’s not going to make for a very indulgent Xmas, which is probably playing a part. Plus my mother is stressing me out something ridiculous, oh my lord you have no idea… (Weird to mention it here but I’ve just spent the last few hours with her so I’m still reeling).

Definitely in a “couldn’t be bothered” mood, HQ. Pretty much just intense PMS + tiredness. Can’t wait for it to be over so I can get back to normal! At least I know I’ll be cheery for Christmas.

So I’ve had my Body Shop Advent Calendar sitting here going unopened for the last few days, opened 4 days worth yesterday and 2 today. Not sure what that means. It’s like once I actually had the products in my possession, even though I didn’t even know what they were yet, they had lost a lot of their appeal. Not good.
