Anyone tried Miessence?

my mother is a organic hairdresser in sydney . she wont use anything else . she loves the products as do her clients who come to her for that product .

was wondering if you’re still using/liking the tahitian breeze deodorant?

I have still been using the aroma free, but did try some others (like those crystal ones you wet but it did shit all) so I was really disappointed with them chucked them in the bin and bought the tahitian breeze today. if I don’t like it guess I’ll go back to aroma free.

I’m never going to use anti perspirants again as two women from each side of the family have had breast cancer, one of which died from it, so I’m kinda freaked…..

I used the mint toothpaste many years ago, all I remember is that is tasted bad. But that is too be expected with natural products, and I did get used to it. I also used a shampoo and conditioner and had no complaints.

My guess is the sunflower body wash didn’t soap up because it is SLS free. From my understanding ‘soaping-up’ in body wash and shampoo etc has no real benefit and is only made that way to make us feel like it is making us ‘cleaner’.

I would be interested in trying these products again, where did you order yours from Animal Lover?

Through a Rep by the name of Lee she is a Victorian Rep. Email the company and they will get someone to send out a product brochure and samples you would like to try so that you could try before you buy sorta thing. I use the products on my girls. My best friend is a nurse and stated that Parabins are one of the leading causes of cancer, after hearing that i am paranoid.

Agreed, I use the Pure & Green organic toothpaste and when I first tried it I thought it tasted foul! You do get used to it though. Regular toothpaste tastes really sweet to me now. Also natural toothpaste seems to taste better when I haven’t eaten tons of sugar that day so I think that’s saying something 😛

I find that even SLS free body washes soap up fine for me (I use a shower puff). I haven’t tried Miessence though, most sulphate free body washes still contain a foaming agent like cocomide so it should soap up, maybe it’s just the technique you’ve got to get used to.

I’ve tried one of their body washes (a sunflower one i think?) and I hated it. It didn’t soap up at all, smelt really bad and left my skin feeling unwashed. After that it’s kind of turned me off trying any more of their products.

Thats strange, i have the sunflower one and love it, i use it on a body sponge and it soaps up and smells wonderful. Really makes me feel clean.

I use the Tahitian Spice deodorant and it’s one of the better natural deodorants that i’ve tried. It smells a lot like Ylang Ylang though. It does dry out my underarms a bit but I am prone to dry underarms, very few won’t dry them out and those ones usually don’t keep me smelling nice.

I have heard very good things about the brand but have only tried the deodorant.

I’ve tried the purifying face cleanser, it’s absolutely beautiful to use. The purifying moisturiser is also really nice to use. They smell so gorgeous and are really gentle. I would definitely buy the skin care, they are excellent quality. The ingredients are really good and that’s why they are a bit more expensive.

have you ordered anything else?

not yet 🙂 but I was looking at the lemon toothpaste, but am unsure how well it would work. not sure if it has fluoride in it. also the soothing mineral mask…. but i’m not sure the products are a bit expensive 😐
