Alternative to after wax wipes?

Hey bH! So I have just started to wax my legs with wax strips but find the after wax wipes included in the pack are just not enough. I’ve been using coconut oil to help with getting rid of remaining wax and it works great but I think it is contributing to hair growth. Does anyone know of any alternative products I can use?

I use an after wax oil in a spray pump bottle by wax away that I find works a treat. For more delicate areas like your underarm they have a cream that is great a removing residue too, very moisturising. But for bigger areas I say oil all the way!

Wax residue is the worst! I use a rinse off wax now to avoid it, but in the past coconut oil and an old towel followed by a scrub with a salux works best. For post waxing treatment I use stridex on my bikini line and moogoo post waxing cream on the rest.

I’ve had samples of a product called Bump Eraser that could work well for tidying up stuck wax, plus eliminate any ingrown hairs in the process. it’s a great little cream to use on freshly waxed or shaved legs

So happy I stumbled across this thread! My friend and I had this conversation the other night because we needed the wipes but didn’t want to buy another packet of wax to get them – thanks ladies 🙂

I use baby oil on a cotton pad. So cheap and effective

I waxed today and used the Nuxe oil which worked great (but not the cheapest oil out there). It does smell divine though and it’s a really nice after waxing product I find.

I am currently using ‘after waxing oil and body moisturiser in one’ by Lilliane Caron. It’s a pump spray with tea tree oil as an antiseptic and good for removing wax residue. On the bottle it says its also good for preventing in-grown hairs and bacteria from causing pimples and pustules. I think I bought it at chemist warehouse. It’s good I would buy it again.
