Vibration platforms

Has anyone used or purchased a vibro slim vibration platform for exercise and overall well being? I am curious about these machines and have read positive reviews but would be keen to know if anyone from BH has experience with them and could share their thoughts.

My mum has one and Ive used it a few times. I think its good for muscle recovery and stability. For exercise you can do different moves on them and the vibration makes you engage your core and muscles more fully. I personally think they are very expensive and dont really do that much for the price considering you could get the same results with other forms of exercise. I also found the vibrations made me feel ichy all over, especially the parts of me that wobble! Many gyms have them so maybe you could try before you make a decision.

I read about something similar, but I can’t remember where I read about it (I read a lot of nerd newsletters). It’s supposed to be beneficial if you’ve got balance issues & it can help with bone density if you’ve got osteoporosis, but there’s supposed to be no slimming or muscle toning benefits. I don’t have any personal experience though.
