Seat Massagers

Does anyone have any experience with seat massagers? Those mat-like ones you can put over chairs, that heat as well as massage?

My health is poor and I’m getting sore from being stuck in bed. I thought one of those might help. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Hey josella432 – I’ve been checking this thread to see if you had bought it yet. That’s the one we have and it is brillant.

I find sometimes for my shoulders I just turn to the side so the massage balls work on that part too.

Glad you are having success with it all – definitely worth the price. 🙂

Jatz I bought myself that massage seat finally. I got a Beurer Shiastsu one, managed to get $50 off too. Ohmygosh I wish I’d got one much sooner! It helps a lot with the pain and I feel less stiff and sore from being stuck in bed. It has shiastsu, rolling and heat like yours. Really worth the investment!

We don’t have Innovations where I live but now I know what to look for. It looks similar to a Breur model I’ve seen online. Thanks jatz. I’m hoping to make it to the shops sometime this week, health allowing. Will let you know how I go.

I just got an email from a site I belong to called Innovations. They are advertising one that looks very similar to the one we got at The Good Guys.

It’s called Neck & Back Massage Seat and costs $299.00 I think below will take you to the page. If your in Sydney, Innovations is in Frenchs Forest – you can check out their showrooms there.

Just had a look at that one. It’s a bit different to ours in that it’s a different colour but it doesn’t mention or show the neck area it does. Could be they have changed the design a bit……..not sure on that one.

Check out the Good Guys to see if they have the one I was talking about. The one we have is a grey colour and has those massage balls on the top and the bottom..

Shop around for that Homedics one. Good Guys has it too.

Let us know how you go.

Thanks m8. I never thought about the heat part. I’ll have a word to my doctor next visit about that. I think I might treat myself to a little splurge 😉

jatz thankyou for your feed back. The Homedics one actually sounds perfect for my needs. I was nervous about finding something that went up to my shoulders and neck as well as my back, so good to hear it gets your tick of approval. I hadn’t thought about a tens machine, got a few options to consider for when I go shopping (I notice Harvey Norman don’t list the price of the massage chairs online, boo).

Hopefully with end of financial year coming up I can get a good deal.

Hey josella – you name it, we have it here as both my husband and I suffer from a lot of chronic pain.

We have the Homedics one that goes over the chair that does your neck and also down your back. It has shiatsu and rolling and heat. Heat is not hot at all, just a comfortable warm on your neck and back. For me, I get pain on my shoulders so I just twist myself so the ball gets into that area. You just need a straight upright chair to put it on but I love ours.

We also have a massage chair which does everything from neck, back, thighs and calves. Hubby uses this and he loves it. We came upon them by going into Harvey Norman (whenever hubby was sore from his tiling job), he would just sit in one and try them out. We got ours many years ago now and it is still going strong and even the neighbours will come in and use it.

Have you tried a tens machine – they are great also.

    I feel your pain.

I’ve got no experience with them josella, but I’ve used the Masseur bumpy innersoles for shoes. I found that the bumpiness kept the circulation going & I can stay on my feet substantially longer when I wear them. I imagine the bumpy chair pads would help with circulation, but I can only guess about the heated massagers.

Being bedridden sucks! Especially if you’re sore from being stuck in bed! Maybe you should treat yourself to one. I’d check with your doctor when it comes to heat. If your circulation is compromised, you mightn’t feel discomfort if the heat is too hot. You don’t want to discover that you’ve burnt your @r$€.

Your doctor might know what’s most therapeutic, also there might be a way to get it cheaper. Doctors know more than just the medical mumbo jumbo. I hope you find a solution josella! To your health in general, not just your seat massage question.
