I want to be fit!

Okay guys,

I made a decision the other day to be absolutely fit. I want to have muscle, I want to have more energy and I want to be more healthy.

I’m 160cm tall and 54 kilos, which does not sound much at all. However, I’m not going to be focusing on losing kilos, but losing the fat and gaining muscle.

I’m making this thread to motivate myself, and a few others to seek motivation to be more healthy and lean.

Since Monday, I have been doing cardio and strength workouts for at least an hours total, if not more. I’m running, “hola hoop-ing”, etc. And I am going to incorporate JIllian’s 30 day shred and her 6 week six-pack workout. Its all free on YouTube. I’m count the time when I start sweating, and I make my workouts as intensive as I can.
Already I’ve noticed a difference in my confidence and my energy.

This is the before shot of me, this is a big thing for me because I am extremely self conscious of stomach, but I cannot wait in a month or two’s time to compare this photo with a better one of me 🙂

Great work SandyzBox. I am almost done with 21 day fix and it’s been great. I feel so much better than I did before and know how you feel about the new you. I really like this program because it comes with a meal plan it helped be become a better eater. And I did notice there is a new one coming out called 21 day fix extreme- http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/21-day-fix-extreme.do So if you are looking to change things up a bit I would take a look into this.

    That’s great SandyBOX.
More important than how you look is how good it makes you feel. Am so glad you’re more confident in your body and glad you have more energy.

You have motivated me to dust off my treadmill (again) and to get back on track!!
    Keep taking care of yourself.

Thanks for the coupon, Glamourpussgirl! I decided to get the DVD with the download (don’t know why they can’t just offer the bloody download) and shipping is just a bit ridiculous, so with the discount I only get a dollar off. Sigh!

I’m all for feeling and looking my best but I wonder at people who exercise everyday – HOW do they do it? It takes so much effort for me to put on my sports bra and joggers and start moving haha.

I workout 5-6 times a week. It helps that my gym is a 5 min walk from my house and my membership lets me access any of their other locations. The important thing though is to make sure your body has had adequate rest especially if you are lifting weights and experiencing DOMS 🙂 I isolate my muscle groups to ensure each muscle group gets enough time to recuperate. When I first started my DOMS was pretttty bad haha

Sorry Alice, just checked this thread again and fowarded you the email with my coupon code! 🙂

Can I please use it? I’m all for going to the gym and I much prefer doing classes there (I look so toned the morning after I do a weights class – love it!) but sadly I couldn’t afford my gym’s membership for the time being and am stuck doing at home workouts.

My email’s alice.antonov(at)gmail.com if you need it. 🙂

I usually do about 40 minutes of exercise 3-4 times a week and try to eat as healthy as possible. Too lazy to do a full hour haha!

As long as you have gotten all hot and sweaty for at least 30 min then you are definitely doing a good thing 🙂 Nutrition is also crucial though. Happy to see you are finding the balance
