Toenails that grow upwards

My pinky toes have this really odd habit of growing upwards, so when they grow long they scrape the inside of my shoes or my nail polish is rubbed off. Does anyone else have this problem? And is there any way of fixing or helping them besides keeping them really short?

Yes, some of mine grow upwards too. I thought I was the only one with this problem! I agree with Sofieahh, I think it’s because int he past Ive cut them too short so now the dont grow straight out but up at a weird angle. I really dont think there is a solution.

I have this problem to, but i think it’s because i cut it too short like way below the cuticle when i was little because i wasn’t fussed enough to cut my toenails often erk, obviously a bad mistake.

I think that might be why mine grow funny too. I used to cut them really short and I swear they didn’t used to grow upwards

RH – how noticable is it most of the time, and when u say it gets long how much do u mean , for it to be a bother to you ?

I do agre with MissTea that feet and parts like most of us are all varied. soucan expect that sometimes, for some ppl that will happen.
I know with nails on hands, at very long lengths u can get some ppl whose nails grow bending or twistin (not the usual curve ) and there are some ways to try remove that, 1 is soaking/putting them in wmred oil and pulling them back into shape/line, over a persiod of time. BUt i dont know that u can do that with ur toes in this case, not the same thing.

So not sure that u will be able to ‘modify ‘ the shape or direction since it wud need to come from the nail bed and ur toe itself, for something so small.

I have the same problem too (with most of my toenails). So far I haven’t found a solution, not sure if there really is a solution.

I think it’s just that people’s feet are as unique as they are, I happen to be one of those people with short, stubby, half joined together toes with wonky nails that grow at weird angles 😛 I think a lot of people have toes that aren’t perfect like model’s feet but you don’t realise because they tend to hide them.
