Dry feet Help

Hi gals I’ve had dry, cracked heels for awhile now and have tried every product on the market. Anyone have any home care/treatments I could try. I’m currently between jobs and can’t afford to get pedicures so thrifty, home made ideas only!

Have you tried Sholl for cracked heels or something like baby foot???
I found that Natures Organics moisturiser with sorbaline is really good on my feet. It costs about $5 or $6 dollars at Coles.

I heard it’s not good to scratch the skin to remove the dead skind on your feet, then how can you do to remove it?

Hey ChrissyCat, I have dry, cracked heels summer and winter and I will try different products and get lazy and couldn’t be bothered. But persistence is the key. As was recommended in one of the other posts, some sort of footfile first. If you can’t afford the new Scholl foot file get a pumice stone (approx. $4?) or less and get rid of any loose skin. When I get around to it, whilst I’m watching TV I’ll put my feet into a bucket or basin of warm water to soften the skin and then using the pumice stone or a nail file and scrape away loose skin. I know it sounds icky but it works for me. That process is a must for me before I paint my toenails. But, skipping that I will use a foot product and put cotton socks on and go to bed. The key is to do this everynight until improvement and then it’s up to you how often you think you need to do for upkeep. The latest product I’ve tried is an oldie but a goodie. If you like the smell of Palmer’s cocoa butter then try this: $10.95 for a tub of the ORIGINAL Solid Formula of cocoa butter with Vitamin E. Absolutely yummy and it works. If you don’t like the smell, you have a variety of products tried and tested on this site that you might like.

For me personally, I use pure Shea these days. I buy a block and rub it on my feet plus its natural. I use and buy one from n- essentials. It’s only 10 dollars and lasts me 9 months.

Your probably going to have to buy something cheap at least to start with so I’d recommend that personally.. Pretty cheap.

If you really can’t afford anything at all I’d recommend finding some oil in your house even olive oil and putting your feet in it and putting socks on o/,night.

I make my own, all items off Amazon, UK, lanolin, unrefined shea butter, jojoba oil and castor bean oil. Zap all together in the microwave, 20 secs at a time stirring between each 20 sec then leave to cool and pour into a heatproof container. I normally soak feet in warm soapy water then use pumice stone to remove hard skin. Dry feet and apply shea butter cream and pop socks on. If you are interested let me know and I will give you the quantities I use.

That sounds great, I’d love to try that. Seeing as I have all these ingredients I will. Thanks lin

I wouldn’t recommend you run out and buy this product, however I recieved a little tub of swispers anything balm in the priceline skincare goody bag last year, that is actually really good on dry feet!
The product sat in my cupboard for ages waiting to be used!

I know its an expensive at first but honestly the best thing I have ever found is the Scholl Foot File after buying it and using it you will find your feet amazing. I suffered from dry cracked feet for years until I recently found this . Good luck

I think whatever you use, make sure you use it regularly.
My feet are better conditioned if I apply a moisturiser on a daily basis, as a routine, then after a couple of days, they look good. Even an ordinary sorbolene cream will help and is good money wise, as long as used regularly.
I hope you find a suitable solution 🙂
