Which is the best affordable curling iron?

I was wondering what the best affordable curling iron is? Say around $50? Are ceramic ones the best? Thanks!

I have a Yogi which is Tourmaline Ceramic Clipless and has 3 interchangeable heads. It is 3 times what you want to spend because of the three heads 13mm-20mm, 20-25mm, 25-32mm.
I have had VS Sassoon curling wands in the past and recently I bought a goddess wave which is like a crimper but with curves rather than edges. So that would be my suggestion. I have no idea what they cost but I suspect they are affordable.

I bought one of those remington ones that come in different colours. Tribal I think they`re called? I have no idea but it`s clipless and would be great if it didn`t kick the bucket.
It still works but I have to hold in the power button THE WHOLE TIME I`m trying to do my hair, and you know how long curling can take.
So not really worth getting a cheap one in my opinion

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a GHD and curl my hair with that and also have Babyliss hot rollers. I wanted a cheap curling iron so if say a few strands of my hair don`t curl properly using the hot rolers I can just do it with the curling iron. Are Vidal Sassoon curling irons any good?

I`ve bought a couple of VS Sasoon curling irons and have been really happy with them although I think that the best straightner I have used is the GHD, VS Sasoon ones are great value for money as they do a great job and are great value for money. Definitely would recommend a VS Sasoon if you are looking at getting a cheaper straightener.

Yes, I can`t curl my own hair with my ghd, but i do my other friends easy, I cheat and use my hot rollers or just keep my hair natural, how weird, curling my already ringlet curly hair!
